Guest Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 A NEW TYPE OF MTA PLAYING MODE MTA ROLEPLAY OK, I am sick of telling people how to roleplay so I'll describe it in this thread. What you do is you pick a role (such as Hitman, Stripper, Gangsta', Cop, Robber, ect.) and you play it. Like cops dont just kill the robbers, the robbers has to do something to piss off the cops, lets say rob a bank, for instance. Then the cop has to arrest the robber, thus by killing him, or arresting him (which is quite hard). In another case, lets say I wanted to hire a hitman on a guy who stole my car. I'd have to type something like ".give (money amount) (person's name)" in the game. It is alot of fun but requires some maturity, so dont just kill random people. RULES OF ROLEPLAY : No Random Killings Act mature Dont Destroy People's cars or shoot at them Dont Run Into People last but not least... Have fun

I try to do some of this myself, but nobody does it... you have mexicans killing mexicans, cops killing cops, etc. - and with your cop example, they tend to run into you when you're just cruisin', even at the speed limit (if there is one) I dont know... its something I would like to do... but what'd be the point? There isn't enough dynamics in MTA as it is to do anything other than murders or robbing a bank. RobZGod Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 I actually got to experience some RP today; a huge group of (COP) and {FBI} had taken over a server, and were simply killing everyone. Not very RPish methinks. So i grab my robber skin, and tell em im robbing Ammunation. Couple of cops go down, chase ensues. Before you know it its the funnest run of my life, having to swerve masses of cars in a PCJ. Ive got a gang idea, time to post it... lol. So is this where im supposed to put a witty comment
TwwIX Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 Ya,ive also been a long time "Imaginary" rpg player (Action HL,The Specialists mods) and it would be nice to see more ppl actually play it for a change.Its really cool that they added a class system but as we all now its still an early release and still full of bugs(syncing issues with the skins and unbalanced classes for example).Thats why usually some of the people ignore some of the classes and their specialty and go for the strongest one instead, like "The Mexican" class.

There's no reason to play as a team. If robbers had to rob a bank, then yes, people would work together to stop them, and the robbers would work together to rob it. Without an objective, there's no reason to help teammates. EDIT: another way of thinking of this: In this game mode, you cannot lose, or win. There isn't any reason to try.
