Font Color...

I was playing vc and other poeple could change there font color..I was wonder how you could do that?

Im pretty sure that isnt possible except for admins, but the message is dark blue

It's possible. I saw some guys do it, and they told everyone including me. They were on a official server. I found commands for pink, blue, and orange font names. You have to add either ~b~ (blue), ~g~ (pink, or ~o~ (orange) before your name. e.g.

~g~horvak

would make your text pink.

Sounds like they're talking about in-game chat, not just the name.

doesnt seem to me like theyre talking about in game chat, i dont see that mentioned anywhere

it does effiect the in game chat ex: mta client screen there is:

Nick:bob

now with font

Nick:`t`bob and when to chat it wil be teal

or `t`bob`r` now your name will be teal and the font will be pink

get it?

the code, broken down for my username, "Dex":

~t~D~o~e~b~x

broken down:

~t~ = teal, color

D = first letter, teal colored

~o~ = orange, color

e = second letter, name

~b~ = blue, last color, and used for your text messages. last color is always the color of your messages.

x = last letter name.

that might give you a better idea of how it works. also be careful, there's a 12 character max including any color code markup. and remember, it goes right into the "name" spot of your mta client, type the code with your name like normal.

Here's some color's i know:

~r~ = pink

~g~ = pink (again)

~b~ = blue

~t~ = teal

~o~ = light orange

~y~ = yellow

it is not coded in by the team, in fact the new client wil not support this anymore, but it does explain why i see those things in the new client

well it wold good if u put the colors only in the gang tag is theres any

anyway 3 chars is to mush for only 12 chars allowed =\

will be in the next client use 12 charas too?

i hope there will be mr the 12 chars in the next version, cause it is hard to have gangs tags and your name.

the codes work much like bbcodes on the forum, shame italic doesnt work i will have to give that flashing one a go tho

just imagine the space the chat would need if everyone hade all their tags on i think its best to keep names shorter unless they make the font smaller in future
