of course, MTA 0.1 won't simply be GTA3:MTA and MTA:VC shoved together. So, if each of them is 400kb, it'll probably end up somewhere around 600kb, NOT 800.

Have you tried Opera? It's the shiznit. The people on the roof are supposed to be there... it's part of MTA. They aren't actually players. You know at the starting, with the character selection screen? The models that you select from are up there, standing in a row

personally, I don't see what's sexy about low-poly models, but hey, if that's your thing... btw: The 'people not having the right skin' thing is just a bug. as soon as they respawn, their skin will be correct.

Ya, GTA3:MTA doesn't work all that well. The focus is on MTA:VC... So there aren't any servers really I think the plan is either to scrap GTA3:MTA development, or to just make MTA:VC and GTA3:MTA into one thing, which will just be called MTA.

Use something called the All Seeing Eye. you can get it from http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/ if you have trouble configuring it, then use the Search function, and search for ASE Oh, and make sure that the posts you find are talking about MTA:VC 0.2, not 0.1

I voted "no"... I mean, GTA3 is way better of a game... for single player. The VC map, weapons, cars are better for MP.

I think they actually modified the .exe, and some other stuff... You can get a warez version of it (I think it's appropriate here)... Maybe downloading the american version 1.1 patch, or version 1.0 will fix the problem... And no, there are no MP mods I've heard of that work with the aussie version

The file that holds map info isn't in main.scm... it's somewhere else. I think there's a text file that joins all the parts of the map together, and the actual maps are their own files.

Ya, that bug is because when you join the game, you don't get the info on what skin they have. So they're a random skin, and a yellow dot. When they respawn their skin will be fixed... So when you start the game, just jump in the water and spawn again.

Ya, people have been having problems with the player selection screen... I haven't heard of a fix for it yet though.

If the super-special features of GTA:VC (motorcycles, copters, new guns.... etc.) were in GTA3, I'd be playing it waaay more than VC.

the aussie version doesn't work They changed a bunch of stuff before selling it in australia (there were calls of sexual violence and whatnot), and so it doesn't work with MTA...
