I'm guessing you ran it w/ the & at the end to make it invisible? or you've since logged out of the shell. you could kill the process ps -aux will list all the process kill ### (where ### is the process number or pid) Kent

wedon't update the progress bar until we are certain that whatever part we are working on is complete, as such much of it is experimental.. basically, we need to test a lot of stuff, debug stuff before we move the counter, (this keeps it from hanging at the 90-95% marker, as we've seen in the past) Kent -

in regards to above, no, we had to remove the train, to avoid issues w/ syncing.. sorry, but then again could be funto have rail battles -

gta3's scm is pretty packed w/ this version of MTA so we are limited to how many skins we can actually support... I think at one time the most we got was 4 skins..., again some differences between the VC and GTA3 engine.... since then that number may have dropped, so we arent sure, we'll see and tot he rest of you, you guys love picking apart picture haha.. yeah we hope to get lots of features out w/ the gta3 version of MTA, and offer a different style of gameplay. lol this stuff reminds me of planeshift http://www.planeshift.it its an early alpha test for a future free MMORPG and right now people have more fun just trying to glitch through walls and stuff, and getting to impossible places, than anything else

about the syncing, i responded to you via pm, . there are some things you aren't considering, a Quake3 server is not blind to hte map geometry. Our server is.. its a bit harder for us to implement things like physics and collision detection in our program.. as we don't have the source to that section of VC's code . We are looking into other methods, we just haven't decided which is best, what it comes down to is time, and experimentation. Kent -

those are our dev test servers, and yes we are testing stuff right now.

thats not completely accurate eAi, because you are also seeing what the player you are spectating did on a bit of a delay. (approx their ping/2 + your ping/2). the most accurate description would be you are seeing what you would see if you were standing there watching 2 other people fight

the new core has all new netcode, but it hasn't yet been put to work at its fullest yet, we are still very early in implementation, but it looks to be better than what we currently have, annnd im gonna stop talking now

the crouchign jumping anims aren't in the 0.4core, its in the new core that is still early in production, and we haven't given any release dates for either

yeah kung lao is on the right track, as a spectator you may still see shots hit on your side, (as a 3rd party objective) but that may not be the case for the person getting shot. Every player has their own bit of latency that is different from everyone elses, as such, everything you see is just slightly different than what everyone else does. Makes for a very difficult situation to keep things synced,but we are working on it. Kent

haha thanks for backing me up in there, im always taken aback a bit when I'm called one, but usually someone in the server will recognize me and point that out I think the new core, (not 0.4) will really help out alot, as the system for syncing is vastly different, and You can actually tell EVERYTHING the other person is doing. This way, rather htan just seeing them skip around you'll be ableto tell that they are jumping, crouching etc. /me hopes I dont' take flak from the team for revealing info about the new core.
