i have to disagree - i think the amount of cheaters has greatly reduced. i think that people arent realising how it was back in earlier versions. im not saying that it was all because of mta's cheat protection. the introduction of client admins has greatly reduced cheating. ive very rarely found cheats in mta0.5, and when i do, im playing in the right servers so they get banned immediately.

i think mta shud have language compatibility, that simply takes the lines of .a special file so you can ask peoples translations for every phrase and store it in a file in a languages directory, i think it'd be better translating the client itself rather than user guides

wrong. rockstar already announced there'd be no mp for gta for the next cuple of releaes. even before they did, it was ok to assume they wudn't, since it wud be breaking there contract with sony

well i thought u were gonna start off by only having normal vc, without mods. firstly ur gonna want to right down ONE sinple race route. with matma scripts it'll be possible to make sure ppl are in their rc cars, go to a starting grid, and follow a route. perhaps it wud be best if you got a map here and marked your first race - make it simple without many turnings just to make it less complex for now. you could maybe make ur first race in the hotring, since that'll be the easiest, just have like 3lpas. i could help arrange a hotring race script for you if you want.

it wont be very hard to make, simply script it all, and it'll be like almost any other game hmm 26 votes...we need 30ppl eventually to get this going.

i seriously doubt that - i assume u mean all weaps excluding the snipers and bazooka. stuff like the minigun would be stupid

i know how things are like when u have a great idea, but u wish it cud happen at the click of a finger. firstly, how r u planning to get the race mode set up? via scripts. u cud have scripts like navigation units telling u which way to go 'next left'. if thats what u want, u cud request a route in the scripting topic, and there will be sum1 who will want to make it, im sure

the colours thing is a bonus, the real problem for us was the lack of popularity yeah we cant really do that much now since loads of ppl are still playing 0.4.1, once 0.5.1 comes out im sure ppl will play all the time, and there will be more servers for it ie more gathers. we will probably use mtama gamemodes to play, and using the irc bot settings can be linked in thru irc. this is what is planned - we may change this though

Yeah staunton and portland are almost dead now - i still stick with my mapchange idea. btw, i think its a shame they didnt put a magical name like mta 0.5 client patch 1, since all the different versions have a different magical name for the patched version

i think he meant to say that since MTA has advanced with new problems arising, hence one setp back I think you need to read the whole thread next time before analysing something and making some kind of theory-hypothesis outta things.. ermm ransom in a way i was supporting you since that guy came and flamed you. yes i did read the whole thread, and i just said that i thought he meant to say that, which he may have done. after all, i certainly to dont think that mta has not progressed from 0.4.1 to 0.5 al all, and has got worse - there are lots of new things. thats why jacob said 'two steps forward' and one step back (if WASNT a typo).

looks great! SSV gamemode in VC will be awsome - as far as SSV there is great balance with increased pistol + uzi power. btw, on the talk of balance and 0.5.1 - i think everyone wud agree if i asked that in gta3mta the flamethrower is only buyable at ammunation for a higher price or completely removed. at the moment its cool with uzi, shotgun, and ak having 3 different styles of combat, but it pisses me off how anyone can just go up to you and let out one flame and ur basically dead. either this or the ft range is GREATLY reduced (almost like a bat) or its power is reduced, or removed n stuff

Im not even gonna bother to explain any of this to you ur only complaining cause you SUCK and kiss the stubby's ass. learn to play with all the aspects of mta. 0.5 is fun, i play ssv all the time, you didnt think of that did you? also, this has been discussed LOADS of times. i rest my case

this is a suggestion: with the clantag protection, there is a memberlist option and a password option. Could u please add a script like !clanmember and it adds it to the memberlist or summin. and another script to change the clantag password wud be cool.

ermm, make sure uve inserted your GTA:VC cd, this happens if you've got a fake cd in the drive or nonw

'Police role'? well we are the original Vice City Police. We dont necessarrily go into servers as cop spawns and fight - any spawns are allowed. Also, we tend not to play rpg, as in killing when sum1 'breaks the law' but we tend to pull the trigger on site you will however be trained to your potential (if you arent already) and will participate in gangwars against other gangs. VCP is a gang that started from 0.1 and is one of the most old and respected gangs. i'd like to know if this will work in the listen server - does that run off of mtaserver.exe or is it seperate?

mike, urs doesnt work because the script wants to read from gw-passworded.ini but writes to gw-passworded without an extention. oli, yours doesnt seem to kick after 20 seconds (could you also change it to 30seconds)

ok, i need another script, a password one for gangwars, since using admin cleint will be a hassle, heres how it goes: I am in a list of ppl who are allowed to use this command, if sum1 else does it, it fails (i would prefer it if it could be hooked up with level4 grs, but either is fine) i type /msg gw on and it registers the when any1 enters from now on, are prompted via PM: A gangwar is in progress, please enter the password by typing /msg gw . You will be kicked in 20seconds. obviously, if they dont log on, they are kicked. after im done, i type /msg gw off and the script will be deactivated and become public. thats all of it, if you add anything extra for security, thats fine, and i may make changes since i dont think i remembered anything

look at the teaser again. take a look shud be easy enuff edit: look at the pic from the blue page: note that there is a 'medium' button saying 'Interet' which obviously means u can change it to LAN or summin similar

i think this has been mentioned before, with eai replying 'blue, blue, blue'. it was a topic by slothman. synced radio times would be easy enuff to do, which would be cool, i dont think the 'pinging' the passenger is necessary, there wudnt be much point putting effort into keeping the same radio station in the car with little outcome

i'd advise not doing that since mta was not designed for me/98 and changing compatibility mode would probably cause more crashes
