  1. And when they complete it, they'll come back (probably). So what's the problem?
  2. Is Blue for VC still on the cards for release before MTA:SA?
  3. orappa

    you would think

SA will run on the Blue core which apparently offers the ability to section of areas of the map dynamically. Also, we do not know how many players Blue is likely to support.
  4. You'd have to ask individual server admins because those are custom scripts and each server tends to offer different features.
  5. I was referring to when you die in a car (your health goes to zero) and can continue to drive around but you only die when you exit.
  6. But will the mod still primarily be client-side like with the previous core? I always thought it would be but your last sentence implies otherwise.
  7. Ah yeah, sorry. Slight misunderstanding there. I think he means when you has a fast car and you end up driving faster than the textures can load.
  8. Sorry, we do not support the use of warez so we cannot offer help with your problem.
  9. I always quit the game when such a situation arises. I don't think there should be any excuses - if you pause, you should be allowed to be killed. You've made the choice to leave the keyboard so you should face the consequences of that decision. =DS=*Weed*: A GTA3 version of Blue is not planned yet. Whether such a version is ever made depends on the demand for it.
  10. But isn't the whole "you can't die in a vehicle" thing built into GTA? If so, what use would it be to wait for Blue?
  11. Er... how did you manage to get MTA working with vehicle mods without having a cracked client?

    Modded vc

Easy: make a copy of your VC directory and have one for modding and one for MTA.
  13. I'd be out of ideas unfortunately. No, previous versions seem to be ok. It's an anti-cheat mechanism that they included in 0.5 which seems to be a bit too sensitive.
  14. Here it is: http://projectcerbera.com/gtavc/handlingoverhaul.html Edit: If you know Cerbera, this quote needs no caption.
  15. Just go to Start > Search and search for it.
  16. It's also difficult to help when the people helping are people who had no problems at all running it (myself included). As far as I'm aware, there are only two places it writes to: 1. A section in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software (IIRC) that tells it the location of GTA3 and Vice City 2. A section in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (IIRC) that handles the mta:// protocol handler. I don't think deleting these would make any difference. So in other words, you tried everything except the actual proposed solution? 1. Uninstall GTA and MTA 2. Reinstall GTA then MTA 3. Go to Start > Search and search for weapon.dat and weapon.mta and copy them to another directory. 4. If MTA comes up with that error, replace the respective files in the GTA directory with their backups and try again. I really hope they fix this bug in 0.5.5. Also, please don't triple post with loads of smilies.
  17. Did you reinstall MTA and GTA and then backup the files?
  18. Of a game where you pause and people can still kill you? Most online games.
  19. I've got an idea: why not leave people vulnerable when they pause like every other game? If you choose to pause for whatever reason you should accept the consequences.

    Dodo Mod?

I suppose it is if you're used to the Skimmer in VC. But the difficulty level makes it more rewarding IMHO.
  21. I remember them saying that they'd overhauled the chat system so these features may have already been included.
  22. Sounds like you have onboard graphics. The memory for onboard graphics gets taken out of your system memory so if you're running applications that use up a lot of memory (e.g. MTA and GTA at the same time), you'll get less video memory left over for the graphics. Solution: buy more RAM or better still, buy a graphics card. Trust me, you'll really notice a difference. Edit: Btw, if you want a solution that doesn't involve spending money, try closing all unnecessary applications when running MTA (e.g. stuff in the system tray).
