Mac-10: Read my post further. There's plenty of evidence that you possibly cheated, and I told you to lay off of the personal attacks. BigFerg: No 'court of laws' are recognized here - this is simply an online gaming community. We've already proven what we can, and I haven't heard one solid defense from FBI's side besides "it was lag or a glitch," which is totally untrue - what happened was something out of the ordinary, and the only explanation behind it is cheating. I tend to agree with Bishop; I think his reply was skipped over or otherwise ignored, so let me post it here: The video proves a lot. Apparently you don't have enough experience with the stubby to know that DeathB's shot was perfectly in range, and Mac-10 had 20 health when he was knocked down. When you manage to get someone's health down to 20, it doesn't take two shots to finish him off, only one. The 'point blank' and 'DeathB killed Mac-10' comments are totally irrelevant to this argument; you're missing the whole point. In a way you could say I'm siding with them. However, even if I had no connections with ULK and wanted to participate in this thread, then I'd still stick by my argument. Like I said, if I'm being biased, then I'm doing it for a reason. It's not intentional; I'm just telling you as I see it. Actually, I do understand that some people in FBI are experienced, because I've personally played with a few members before, but I feel that they're being a bit unobservant, and taking sides without any reasoning to back up their claims. If you knew how to handle a stubby effectively (which I doubt you do at all), then you'd know that Mac-10 couldn't survive from that many stubby shots at once. What makes you think that being skilled at the game will not help you separate cheaters from normal players? ULK members are picked only from the best, and we've all seen cheaters in our days. We even have tactics to tell if a person under suspicion is cheating or not. I don't care what degrees you have or what kind of experience you hold outside of MTA. We're talking about a suspected cheater - we've given our evidence, now let's hear yours.

Before you read, note that I'm not being biased towards ULK here; I'm simply telling you as I see it. I don't have anything against the majority of FBI. I see that some ULKs knocked him down and he only lost ten points of health each time. This is quite easy to do - you simply edit weapon.dat and reduce the 'damage' (G) variable. The CRC check would have to be bypassed in order to do that. Of course, it could be lag, but in this case, I hardly doubt it. FBI, you need more evidence that Mac-10 didn't cheat. I have never seen this "bug" before either, but like I said, it's all possible by modifying weapon.dat. I agree that the fraps video didn't show much. But if 3 ULKs saw him cheating, then I'd have to trust their judgment. ULKs are very experienced, and can see the fine line between cheating and normalcy. AuDiGy, L_M_D_J, P90, and Stealth have all been kicked from ULK, and their bootings were not without reason. We had conclusive evidence of each kick, so don't even try to bring that up. We control what goes on inside of our clan, and when we suspect somebody of cheating, we verify evidence first, and then kick them. It's not exactly any of your business, anyway. Please don't resort to personal attacks. Give me your actual reasoning behind this. I couldn't possibly be lag, and it's likely not a bug, because I've never seen this happen in all my months playing as a robber.

Well, the weekend passed and nothing happened (not even a single battle went underway), so I presume that this mini-league is dead. I don't think it'd be worth it to try and get it back on its feet yet again - not only because we just tried to, but because there simply aren't enough gangs out there to care about this particular event anymore. It was fun while it lasted...
-
Whether it's purposely hidden, a coding error, or was meant to be opened and loaded only when you hit the "gtat.org" tab, I really don't see a point to this... it doesn't affect you or the gameplay, and it helps DracoBlue keep the site up (last I heard).I've personally played the latest release on a server with a few people, and it was pretty good. Although I have no idea how and why that website was incorporated into the program, I'll continue support GTAT as long as he doesn't turn to spyware... the adware, I don't really care about - if it was really intended, then probably had it hidden it from view so it doesn't disrupt you. If it's accessable in the client, one way or another, then there's no doubt in my mind that he had no problem with anyone knowing about it, even without opening a resource editor.

Is that a yes or a no to our KFC vs. ULK proposal, Wheelman?

Well... desyncing could also be the problem. In any case, I wouldn't call it cheating. -
What does it matter now - the mini-league has ended, and as it turns out, 5/11 of the clans were either dropped or cut (and all that did either have a negative score or have no points at all, if you know what I mean). We played 8 matches in 3 weekends -- ULK in first with 120 points, SM in second with 100 points, and VCK in third with 80 points. The statistics are here, as always. Thanks to those that stayed in and supported the mini-league. I'm not expecting that ULK will host another one, though.
-
And yet another clan leaves. Nearly half of the clans in this mini-league have either dropped out or been cut. Seriously people, if you're just going to drop out or never show for any matches, then WTF did you all join for in the first place?

Don't be so quick to accuse him of teleporting, slothman. It seems to me that you're being a bit too whiny, flexy123. It's all very possible that he could spawn at the military base as a crusader several times in a row. If you saw him with infinite health, jetpacking around, or using modified cars, however, then you have every right to call him a cheater, but what you're saying is simply nonsense. -

What's your point? Are you saying that he's cheating simply because he got 50 kills within a short amount of time? I don't see how you think that qualifies as cheating. And like everyone else said... the crusader/mexican part is all due to the character skin glitch. -
Is there any way you can keep your copy of MTAMA from running scripts on specific servers? I'm usually connected to several at a time, and either the owners don't want scripts running, or it could conflict in some way. I don't really like to disconnect, because sometimes I want to monitor it or log the chat for later use.

Bah... do you think withdrawing is going to make everything better? The mini-league has just begun and VCES runs away with their tail between their legs because "SM didn't use all of their original members" - what kind of excuse is that, anyway? Do you see a rule anywhere that prevents people from other clans filling in? No. However, if you really feal like withdrawing simply because you lost one match, then go ahead. It'll only show how cowardly VCES is, though.
-
Everyone go here for the mini-league statistics - the entered/cut clans, played wars, and standings will be updated reguarly.

Hey, while we're at it, let's blow up the drug factory, close the doors at the Vercetti Estate, and ruin all other bases to take the fun out of attacking & defending in matches. If it's necessary at all, it should only be enabled it in stunt mode. What's the point of taking away our turf in DM?
-
It doesn't matter - just choose a base and stick with it, as you'll be using it in the defense round. Some people don't like places that have to load an interior though (I don't know why), so you may need to ask the opposing gang if they're fine with that. I see WTF has taken up Kaufman Cabs; that's okay to use in matches.
-
I think that's the whole point, heh. If the MTA team ever does decide to destroy our building, then we'll move to some other place.Just leave it as it is - who cares about stunting, we have a fortress built there.
-
Uh... no? That's our base.
-
I was there too. He wasn't using any health cheats, but rather, teleporting around. I killed him twice, and he even admitted to cheating. That's when he flooded the server, check my thread for more information...
-
...Looks like a new flooding technique has surfaced. Basically what they're doing is joining the server, flooding the chat with strange characters (several times at that), and leaving the server. Subsequently, many people time out, and the server is eventually emptied. I've only seen this happen once, but I expect it will become just as popular as the join/part floods did. I'm thinking that they're doing it so fast, you can't kick or ban them. I'm not sure about this though...

WtF hasn't 7 (or more) members. WtF is quite a new gang. WtF showed up. WtF won. I know that. I said that they usually don't show. I've been involved with the official mini-league months ago, and that's just what I've seen. Now that the sign ups have already passed though, all that I'm saying is that if your clan is small and not very active, and you never show up, then you'll be cut.
-
I think the only gangs that should be qualified are those that are well established, have been going for a while, and are active with at least 7 or more members (since that's the usual amount of people on each team). If they don't meet those guidelines, then they'll usually not show or will provide poor competition even if they do. No offense to 411, LR, or FBI, but if you don't show again next Saturday, then you'll be cut. We're not trying to be harsh here, but only 1/3 of the gangs fought today (and the ones that did didn't get to fight the gangs they weren't scheduled to battle).
-
Yeah, 411 didn't show for us and LR didn't show for TMM, so ULK and TMM simply fought together in a match. It was very organized and smooth like DeathB said, much like the VCP match a while back. I'll post a match report: First round there was a lot of friendly fire - some team members got knocked off by their own allies, and since there were so many molotovs hitting the ground, it only added to the confusion. We defended the construction site. TMM waited at the mansion, and arrived only to meet a barricade of cars at the entrance. There were mostly only molotovs flying around on the first floor, and we killed (or rather, injured) a few before they reached the majority of us waiting upstairs. The rest were killed by the robbers (mainly Rawk) when they approached. ULK wins round 1. Second round was more exciting, in my opinion. TMM defended the building next to the Malibu (the one that you use in Martha's Mugshot to take pictures - I forgot the name of it). Anyway, we were waiting at Cherry Poppers, and when I arrived, we headed for the building. They were inside; I guess they were expecting us to go in so they could throw some molotovs, but it didn't exactly work out like that. ULK's mexicans lined up near the door and fired with their M60s - we took out quite a few and moved in. Disaster eliminated the remaining two on the bottom level with his stubby, and almost got killed in the process by a molotov that hit him. ULK moved upwards, and I killed the last three TMMs that were standing on the very top level. ULK wins round 2. Third round was simply for fun. ULK met at the mall and headed towards the outside of the Malibu again with TMM for a war in the streets. It was a massacre - ULK defeated all, and round 3 went to ULK. After some more friendly fights and chat, we all left the server. Nice fight. I enjoyed it (for the most part, anyway). I'll see about making that table when our website comes back up. All gangs that were scheduled for wars, and either had them, or didn't, post here and I'll be sure to record it later.

I think that question is self-explantory - anything that's too high, usually above 600-700. Any person that's that much out of sync with everything shouldn't deserve to play MTA. 400 - 500 pings are also pretty bad, but they're entirely not impossible to kill. Anything below 300 isn't bad at all. It's sad to know that most people think someone's ping says everything about their lag though, because it doesn't. Lag is caused by serveral different factors, especially in MTA.
