I know the voting system is badly flawed ive campaigned hard for ingame voting (giving it priority over everything even) but who knows... I know its important when your a map maker. I decided to stop making maps because I had no idea how many people actually played the maps and there was no indication if they even liked em (I know the release package ones are but I'd like to continue making them ya know). Theres really no incentive if theres no feedback whatsoever. I'll start making em again if the system gets fixed.

I actually tried installin mta at my cousins house to show the greatness of mta but... left a bad impression since after then gtasa video screens, you get a gray screen instead of the gtasa splash screen (shorty after leading to the mta menu). He has a xp media center edition and ATI9200 AGP... dunno whats wrong, maybe the media center. Works fine in sp. The noticable abnomalities are A. It takes a moment before the rockstar logo starts spraypainting (startup lag) B. Where the splash screen should be, you see the black screen suddenly turn a lighter gray shade (which I recall happening when the MTA menu pops up)... though thats all you get -
Hmm... thats a nice tip, but if you control+alt+delete cant you throw the window up as well (sometimes its hidden but maybe not with what you said)? Would it throw it in front of a game screen... if it does that makes me angry for all the times ive been stuck in 'crash hell' in vice city

The missle lock isnt synced because I think as chrml said, vectors and angle (something like that) arent sent, so they are sort of pseudo-synced, where they do work on some occasions (probably really low pinged players I would guess). The regular missles arent synced well themselves, they would work better if they were... this will probably be worked on for 1.1

Yes that is irritating... one of the bugs I looked into extensively during beta was dipping under as boat and drowning... that got fixed perfectly at least. I'm not sure if chrml can do something about this...

I think that looks pretty neat! The only thing I dont like is A. Not bein able to see the person shooting on the right B. eai climbing over the fence has been sorta cut off C. I have a pic without healthbars, but I'm guessin you did that purposely to give it a mp feel for b you could move the sailor over and fade it a tad for c you got a bit of space up top to fade really nice though!

Yea, that was just a semi-quick example. I dont have the ps save so I couldnt tear out the tagged image, use the actual logo he used, etc. Plus that nasty blueness you see is from the airplane pic. I need the original workshop save. Anyways looks like j3sus86 is going with something different, but he got my messages. I'm sure it'll be nice. j3sus86 - if you have the actual ps save (the workspace) I'd like to mess around with it a little.

I was messin around with photoshop tryin to learn the ropes tonight... I made this lil thing Not breathtaking or anything I know haha That looks pretty neat.. I think you should A. Change the plane picture as the blue doesnt fit in. Maybe try the latest deathmatch picture (suggest you scale down to slush's hands): That would be a nice pic to be covered by logo as well (just look at the shape and your logo shape, it was meant to be!) B. I think the two pictures bordering the middle one are a bit too transparent C. It would be awesome if the middle pic could be without the tags, I think they cant be removed anymore in sp. That happens to be my map however, so I opened the file and tried to immitate the screenshot: If you used that picture mentioned in A. you would have tags, but you could easily blend them out of the picture (the surrounds arent detailed) D. A little border with blueness to make it fit nicely (not square) with the template Do these things... and I think it'll look like a champ!

Nearest, most standardized cars by each spawn Also the vehicles people really enjoy eg: hunter, infernus, etc.

I think thats pretty neat... maybe shrink down the bullets pic a little and throw it on the right side.. then you could have other stuff (like the mtavc group pic) in the middle If you could warp the blue sky to blend a lil better that would also be nice. I don't know if you can with those... but throwing two group pics together for the middle section would be cool! p.s. going to look for a few more cool pics, I know one you might be able to substitute as the logo! ==================== ==================== ==================== ==================== EDIT: More pics Heres some photos for people to play around with, all I could find (mostly beta). vice city? the spawn cars of course... since 0.5.5 is robber war hell (though you are doing rpg), that makes those cars the most used. Probably the black burrito being #1.

hmm i actually think that font thing is neat lookin... but still its got a totally sp feel to it, and what the heck is with tommy in the hawaiian shirt? Did he get his head shaved and a voodoo doctor shrunk his head!?

Yes the ids used in mta are the ids the objects have in the original files. I didnt think about it being there naturally (doh). Well, theres a small chance you just cant select it as some objects are like that. I'm pretty certain thats normally there, though. If its not in the signs, billboards, etc. (maybe scaffolding), then maybe you could try one of aerons ipl>map conversions, thus there would be placed objects over every single natural model. It may require some work to get around the editor limits though.
