Actually saying SA-MP was first is a mistake many people make. MTA:SA came 4-5 months before SA-MP, however it did come out only as Race but then again still before SA-MP. As for one of the big reasons why SA-MP has bigger playerbase, it's this: This is what one who is completely unfamiliar with GTA:SA's multiplayer options would google, and what they would get as their first option. I personally started with SA-MP back in 2008 and didn't know about MTA until 2010 which is when I started playing MTA as well, I was still playing SA-MP from time to time while MTA was my main focus until I got banned on SA-MP's forum for mentioning MTA a year ago, then I fully transfered to MTA:SA and also made sure to defrag my disc after uninstalling SA-MP to make sure not even a small bit of that mod is left on my PC Also, pardon the Croatian from google, I hate it as well

I'd also like to add to this that the optimization itself has gotten worse at 1.5, a lot worse for potato PCs I'm afraid. Other than that no complaints, updates even if they're something that a lot of us "aren't using" are still more than welcome as unlike some (totally not gonna name SA-MP) MTA team is actually doing :~ and delivering us rather frequent updates, and that's what I love about them.

Looks nice and all, but do you really have to post it like everywhere? There's a "servers to play on" for a reason, and I really feel like everything regarding one's server should stick to there. I like it though. EDIT: By "post it like everywhere" I meant posting things about your server in general, not just the image

I like it so far, the only thing I would like to suggest is that you use GTA VC's and VCS's vehicles instead of GTA V ones to get the real VC feeling. I think that'd be better tbh.

Lol both me and my friend got banned for mentioning MTA from their forums. Not to add how that friend was a lot more invested into SA-MP than I was, he had a decent server running there and like 2k posts and 200 REP points or so.

I'm pretty sure that Rockstar / T2 wouldn't want to go through something like that since that would be a great impact in their reputation as well as would kill something that they have going rather greatly considering the game is over 10 years old.

Can you read mate? had 616,000 players in July (up from just 33k in February 2010), while the other, SA-MP, oscillates between about 15,000 and 50,000 concurrent players. I went to talk to members of both mod communities to find out what keeps them playing. Kinda interesting how nobody from SA-MP's official team had decency to talk about their mod, because like usual, they really don't care about it.

StraightRule it's your fault for believing in Simple's bullshit, I personally would never trust someone with a grammatical level as his, especially not after one tries to convince me that he's "old" and "super popular on MTA forums" as those two things don't have anything to do with someone willing to scam you or not, and of course their scripting knowledge. In addition you failed to check his background and why he's "popular on MTA forums" because personally the only reason I see him being "popular" is because he posts a lot around, and generally I've seen nothing good from his posts. Also, I don't really believe that he's "old", my guess is that he's somewhere around 13 - 14 years old.

Yes and sadly enough the 1.5 update has really killed FPS on my PC, I used to average at 50 - 60 on most of the servers while after the 1.5 I average from 20 - 30 and that kinda pisses me off tbh.
