This crash has nothing to do with your PC or installation, so we don't need to find out. It's a known crash and happens on CIT the most anyways, if you ask me. quoting: 0x00171A10: Sometimes when joining a server, maybe related to bad server mods That's your crash offset, just try to connect when you just launched MTA and not have been connected to other servers, for me this crash happens more often when I ran MTA for a while already. https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Famous_crash_offsets_and_their_meaning (source)

Even if you fixed it for now, it's really important to use Antivirus software, else you will get problems more often than now only. check this https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=76041 not only for MTA, your whole PC is just at great risk when you don't.

If you look closely, when the freeze occurs those planes aren't streamed in and when the freeze is gone (your game resumes) exactly then, the other hydras appear on your screen, indicating possibly HDD problems (slow, failure) when seeking/loading models, fragmented GTA:SA, (slow data load), ''slow'' PC, or a custom script on that server involving texture load/that ghostmod/custom streamer that causes it.

Please download and run MTADiag and follow the instructions. If MTADiag doesn't launch, please install Visual C++ 2012 runtimes (download and install vcredist_x86.exe) and try again. Press 'n' when asked. Post any Pastebin URL MTADiag gives you. Do you use mods?

You might have read instructions already to diagnose/fix crashes, but in order to help you, we still need some info on your system/configuration. For that i'm asking you to follow the usual steps, still. Also if you constantly crash on joining it's guaranteed to be something with your PC/installation/malconfiguration, not MTA and that's why it's needed to check details.

Specific server or all? It's a server problem, it can generally only be fixed by having it restarted, ask the server owner to reboot it.
-
Don't miss that.

It works as normal, just configure and run MTA server on the VPS's remote desktop (as its windows) most vps servers come with strict firewall configuration by default however, you need to add MTA Server.exe to the windows firewall-allow list, or else it will show as if the ports are closed.

Keeping the outdated drivers isn't going to help anything, more likely to be even slower. I don't think you have anything else to try, we tried fixing performance on a system that almost can't speed up at all. The graphics card is the bottleneck and while the rest of your system runs fine, the card is ultra low-end and no matter how you configure/update, slow cards will remain slow. The only thing you can do is replacing the graphics card. Because of that it isn't an MTA problem, it's your components (PC) on every game equal to GTA/MTA in requirements or up. We have answerred you many times here (55 posts) and helped you in a way that you would only get on specialised technical support forums, but managed to pull that off due to own technical skills which is an addition to posters' average knownledge. I don't think you can expect more here than the advice upgrading your video card with a better one. You have 1gb of video memory but it's 64-bit memory which is literally the slowest you can find now.

No, you can't join 1.3.x servers with an 1.4 client. Just install 1.4 besides 1.3.5 (keep both) and there will be no problem. It installs in a different location by default and they can both be installed and work fine at the same time. If you are running 1.4 and click to join 1.3.5 server, it will shortcut you to launching 1.3.5 if you have kept it.

PLS HELP! Menu screen flashes up and then becomes black!
Dutchman101 replied to nocaptainlucau's question in Client
The HP system you have is known for not taking the generic Intel drivers. You can only take the HP-delivered graphics driver, get that one here: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL36527/pv-89926-1/sp51346.exe Also install the chipset drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20775 If this doesn't solve it, re-install GTA from original, it has custom files that could be causing it. -
You want to play on a mobile connection or what? First of all that's not recommended it will be slow, probably. 15gb a day, or over what period? It depends on the server you play on, servers with less mods usually have a small one-time download of some MB's and after the download on server-based incidence (you got to finish every server's resource download when you enter them) you will have a small constant downstream for connectivity while playing (not much either) 4 hours, and 15gb a day would even be overkill so that's easy to reach seen your edit now, if it's per month its still easy if you wouldn't join many servers with huge downloads often (i've seen a few servers with extreme big downloads but they are less) just watch that when you join. If you join a server and walk away from your PC it could easily be 1 of those servers finishing a big download unnoticed taking a gap into your bandwith limit

As now you're using outdated drivers again (audio, graphics, chipset (none), directx) see the replies on this topic regarding the drivers (mine on first and other pages) and install them again

The temperature screen shows that your CPU is running very hot, means that if you launch MTA from then, the CPU will clock itself down to prevent further heat/damage (system feature) and then obviously it will slow down.

From the diag, that's still the beta (beta release 2). It's not hard. GTA/MTA has artifacts with the ATI beta drivers, simply don't use them. If you can't understand, take the normal version (14.4) from the first row at http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64 and not the beta.

Try opening commandprompt (cmd) and typing in: ipconfig /flushdns then: ipconfig /registerdns

Multi Theft Auto Full Installer has stopped working
Dutchman101 replied to Karoffe's question in Client
If that doesn't solve it at all, you might have to do with corrupted C++ packages. Incase, uninstall all packages related to 'c++ redistributable' in Programs list, then run a registry cleaner like CCleaner (google) to clean up the entries of these, now run the MTA installer and if it resumes then let it prompt you towards auto-installing the c++ 2008 redist. If you already got that far then it's most likely solved, if not, then install the c++ 2012 as stated here, and just run MTADiag. If you solve it after all, make sure to re-install all C++ redist packages you had as these might be required for programs you have on your PC already (c++ redist 2010, 2013 might have been present before) As last effort (if it doesnt solve it) go here: C:/Windows/Prefetch Then sort on the letter 'M' until you land at MTASA-1.3 (or 1.4).EXE-xxxx (random digits) delete all the files that start with MTA, this is machine code cache (google: Prefetch) and could, if corrupted mess up the installer's functionality as the data ages. After that, try again -
Intel HD secondary graphics that you have is very likely to outline the Nvidia card. That ofcourse, would slow down. Go to Nvidia control panel (rightmouse click on desktop > Nvidia/geforce panel) and go to Program settings/global settings/3D settings or similar. Then select the global ''preffered adapter/''preffered graphics (processor)'' or similar. Select ''Use powerfull Nvidia graphics'' if possible as Global settings, otherwise add the applications MTA and GTA_SA.exe and apply it to there. After that ensure that in the ''specific definable settings'' everything is set to ''Let the application decide'' as much as possible. also an new MTA diag would help to look further as Towncivilian said. Tell us the results and I will finish the support on this one aslong you keep the issues.

Those modified files aren't accepted by most servers anyway, so why would you use them? If you agree to try without, then recover the files using a data file recovery tool for MTA and see Get it at https://mega.co.nz/#!1BNklALR!W7LxzWnXkP7YiAFlsy4QHCBhm2qOXLPar0KUx2KWM-8

Download and install this: - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20775 (Intel chipset driver) - http://www.filehippo.com/download_realtek_high_definition_audio_vista_64 (Audio driver) - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764 (Graphics driver) - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 Also you do have mods/customized files. If after this it still doesn't work, re-install GTA, or restore these folders: GTA San Andreas\audio\SFX GTA San Andreas\audio\streams

Using the CD when you still have the faulty gta_sa.exe present isn't going to affect anything. Re-install GTA or recover the original gta_sa.exe.

That's right, you will need 64bit windows to make all of your RAM available. Secondly the disabled amount isn't used, not even for games, if you use 32bit. But for MTA, this won't make a huge difference comparing how much memory MTA is working with. Because they were using an 64bit OS. If you have any more questions on similar subjects, maybe go to technical support-dedicated forums.

As always you need to take precautions on the process of flashing a BIOS. This isnt an extended technical support forum, so search that on google and see the instructions from Towncivilian or some tutorial on flashing BIOS's, your other question about the size it takes, 8MB is nothing and it can obviously be removed after you finish updating it and because you can delete it, moving it to somewhere else logically isn't needed. (if this answers your questions enough as im repeating the same thing) Secondly, you just have a great chance the FPS problems are partially caused by this, but there will always be a part at your hardware: It's not the fastest or recommended to run GTA/MTA with at all, though without other slowdown factors it could just run ok (bios) 1. In the main directory of the USB as explained 2. It will not format your PC, select the USB stick station before clicking properties > format (the usb) 3. Yes, if you have updated it you can eject it obviously.

Can you please upload your gta_sa.exe (C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\gta_sa.exe) to http://upload.mtasa.com? It's not the reference version and could be the cause.
