You cannot shoot the driver in MTA, this was brought up not so long ago in #mta and I was fairly sure you couldnt. We went to a private server and tested it and confirmed it wasnt possible. You can of course shoot a rider on a motorcycle however.

It has been discussed before, don't recall wether just in-team or actually on here too. It should be possible but it has a few issues, not least of which is you have to 'pause' to view it. Entering the menus when midgame isnt advisabe at the best of times, both for the cheating aspect if in the middle of a fight and the high chance of crashing afterwards. Other problems could be victimisation, i've witnessed certain skilled players repeatedly hunting down a single person, often a noob, and making thier life hell on the server. Being able to pinpoint someones location instantly in this way could make this worse. A way to avoid this could be having to voluntarily identify your blip. By this i mean player4 asks player6 where he is, player6 can at that point allow his name to be included with his blip on the map, This introduces the initial problem with pausing however. A better system that we have discussed would be a GPS like system, with this player6 asks player4 where he is, player4 ok's it and player6 then has an arrow in his minimap pointing towards player4's location. This would be a more complicated system in both coding and interface terms of course. (Note that we discuss a lot of things. Currently we aren't working on any system like the above. But these ideas may well appear at some point in development.)

I downloaded and watched them both and found them quite entertaining, i've not had broadband for long therefore havn't downloaded many vids as yet so don't really feel i can rate them. I liked the episodic nature of the second (larger) video, really it is 3 or 4 glued together Overall it entertained me, surprised me in some places and left me wanting to power up MTA and go and try some jumps in the locations I'd not thought of before. It did get a little repetative at some points. Such as the 3 different replays of one of the 'cops chasing you over jumps' bits,(on the bridge jump nr island one police station.) which wasnt even a particularly good jump.

Thats fine, providing you mention it is a translation of material from mtavc.com. Perhaps you would also be interested in translating the mta manual and the sbs? Im not sure if we have italian versions of those yet.

Excuse me? We have never said that, or anything like it that would hold the same meaning. The character select options have nothing to do with 'room for memory adresses'. Note that slothman is NOT a team member and bear this in mind when reading his posts.

Work has been going on with the new core since 0.2.2 was released. The shortcomings that came to light with our current tech were the main reason for a rethink and a new direction in development. 0.4 and whatever comes afterwards built on this core be it 0.4rls2 0.4:shoreside, 0.5 etc, (naming is the last thing to be decided usually;) ), is tying up this current tech, basically pushing it to its limits and providing new experiences for the community whilst the massive task of the new core is undertaken. We have a large enough team to work on both at once. People with no current input in the new core are concentrating on 0.4 for instance, and vice verca.

Yes, this was just an issue with 0.3r2 caused when people had had no previous version of mta installed.

Those weapons wont work ingame. Even if the cheat found some way to avoid the illegal weapon kick.

No. As you will see the current version of gta3mta (0.3b) only offers 2 spawn characters.

Domebody: Currently no you cannot have passengers in gta3mta (0.3b) I presume you are referring to that by your 'car goes crazy' comment as Jacking is also bugged in the old gta3mta mod and does make the car go kinda mad gta3mta 0.4 is built on the same tech as the current VC version so these things and more WILL be possible in gta3 at last.

If it is simply 'A problem occured while trying to connect' then it is a 'failure to make connection' problem. Most commonly a firewall, either hardware or software, preventing mtaclient.exe from communicating. (happened to me this week funnily enoough when i changed my firewall software). Or an incorrectly configured router. Just clear it with everything and it should work fine.

Not too sure how i made that an embarrasment for you. I didnt place the image there. My concern was twofold, An image of mta in your 'images' page would obviously give people the impression it was in fact of your mod and more importantly it was taken by somebody using a hacked/cheaters client. Both bad things as i think most would agree. Not too sure how pointing it out in your thread (this one) and asking why it was there was 'making an incredible story of it'. Oh and as for my post about Stanton i stand by it. He is one of four people almost infamous for thier lack of tact and inability to grasp the simplest concepts of behaviour and rule following. Be it in irc or the forums, therefore him saying 'i am making my own multiplayer mod' after weeks of asking everything from 'what is a .bat file?' to 'can you give me the source?' (both genuine questions from him) made me laugh. But as you are so swift to point out a single member doesnt mean the entire team and project is doomed to failure. hence my post being aimed at HIM not IT. I suggest you speak to some of the old GTAWO team about the trials and tribulations of having a hopeless figure 'in charge'.

Reinstall mta. then set the config.cfg to read only. Sounds like you over wrote the T binding
