You mention it to a team member and he will bring it in front of the rest of the Team for discussion.

team.dna requested it be removed. I guess communication isnt too good in your gang.

The former sounds interesting, my only reservations being the effect 'unofficial' colour coding had in 0.2, files overwritten and added instability. So it, like anythign else, would nedd major testing as well as clearance. The second sounds like it has a much higher potential for abuse, both direct and indirect and I find it doubtful we would approve of something along those lines. An offline AI bot opponent however, if you can find a way to ensure that there is absolutely no possibility of it being compatible with online play, would be quite exciting and most welcome.

Posty I would suggest you refrain from giving your opinions regarding our moderators actions when you have no knowledge of the facts pertaining to the situation to base them upon. As the moderator posted in the relevant section of the forum: Modifying the MTA client is a direct infringement of the EULA and will be treated most harshly by us, distribution and promotion of the same will be viewed with equal severity.

Harpo, thanks for that, we are aware of many similar sites, but we might not have been so thanks. We've looked at a few but our modellers seem very keen to try thier arm at creating something new, something they can stand back and say with a smile 'I did that'. We also have quite a few limits we need to stay within, not least poly count. (many .3ds models available are of such high quality they exceed our alloted per-model poly count by dozens of times). The bulk of the work right now is creating the environment and expermineting with various areas as w settle on final methods and design. We don't rule out using pre-created meshes should it be benificial to us in future though.

A few questions about making changes after 0.3r2

That pretty much proves my point Gunny, to you a player isnt 'good' unless he uses the horrible glitches. p.s. I play pretty much every day, I watch people playing stubby roulette, I choose not to. -

Frankly Gunny I'm shocked that a large established gang would have a member who was so vocally in favour of one of the worst glitches used by players to get a wholly unfair advantage over most others. The warp you induce when you blatantly exploit the switch glitch is tantamount to cheating in my book and leaves any player who does not wish to resort to dissapearing and appearing at total random and changing combat into some game of chance rather than skill, totally exposed and unable to compete. You of course can sit in a 0.5 server after future MTA's are released, safe in the knowledge that anyone who has not noticed an updated version will be easy pickings for you as you warp around them and convince them you are nothing but a cheat. -

Your question could be phrased better, it gives the impression that a glitch was deliberately re-introduced, where it most obviously wasn't. If your question is 'how come some things that were previously fixed were broken again in 0.5?' Then I guess the answer is this particular beta release included some attempts to address additional glitch issues, attempts that didn't work too well in hindsight and caused other problems (as is so often the case). But this is the beauty of beta releases, they are designed to show up problems and assist the development of a final version. (And of course it means you get to play it months, sometimes years early, no matter how incomplete or unfinished it is) I -
Interesting story bullit (sic) but totally irrelevant to the thread, please keep it on topic.

0.5.5 has nothing to do with San Andreas, so dates regarding it are pretty irrelevant.
-
Many servers have thier script set to constant sunlight. If you cannot see in the dark then adjust your video setings. If your game slows to a crawl then it sounds as if your machine is a little slow for mtavc. Finally remember this is online gta, gta has weather and a day/night cycle therefore we try to offer it in multiplayer. Personally I love playing in differing conditions.

0.5.5 currently uses a significantly altered set of weapons and method of distributing them, so these questions aren't really relevant. -
I agree. If the gangs who want to take the sticky option would like to Post thier 'advert' and PM me on here to say they have, I will delete any old gang threads and sticky it.

It should be noted that peds, (Regular people as you called them), have not been promised for a future MTA built upon the blue platform either. Radar tweaks however should be relatively simple.

A few questions about making changes after 0.3r2

As far as I recall these two things happened seperately, in different releases. Ammo first then later, damage. I don't play the out of date versions any more so I could be mis-remembering. -

It was felt to be drastically overpowered and caused some instability on the side. To match the other spawn changes. Vehicles are usually changed a little each release, moved, replaced etc. We felt he had too much. We felt it did too much. -
dcxbox the mod has grown beyond this thread now. There's more info at http://www.mtasw.co.uk

Was that someone impersonating you when VCK were on the EU official last night then?
-
How would you suggest we fix it if nobody showed us it or explained it?
-
It's where you get some Bantam hens and put them into long, large diameter Drain pipes that lie on the ground. You then set fire to thier tail feathers and see who emerges first. Traditionally the end of the race day is celebrated by a meal of roast chicken.

IF this happens, (if its wanted), there will be no 'entry requirements' it will be an option open to any gang, new or established.
-
Now you are asking a question that eai already answered, and we KNOW you read it because you commented on it
-
eai is referring to any future MTA's built upon Blue. I suspect it is the encryption in 0.5 that makes your machines work that much harder than they did in 0.3, causing slowdown when player numbers rise.
