  1. yea, i pretty much agree. but sailors have the ultimate advantage, their health will always go up. if i run out of armor it wont go up automatically, ill have to go look for more. so the cops advantage is temporary, while the sailors have a permanent one. weapons distribution is kinda odd, but the good thing about that is, its possible to kill your opponent and take their weapon. it is not however, possible to kill an opponent and take their armor or infinite health. Honestly, either give everyone the ability to have the health / armor, or give it to no-one, but the current setup is complete ass.

  3. whoa, back the hell up! you got that pos (gtat) to actually work? i tried .5c and it crashes more than.......um.......anything, actually. Anyway, i wouldnt mind seeing a speedo, as long as it was small and unintrusive, the screen is starting to get cluttered with all the mta + gta stuff being displayed at once.
  4. shit, my post was lost during the downtime. ok, again... -Ping kick - admin option to kick players when their ping drops below a specified amount for so many ms, keep the fast players on the server. -Sync Time, weather, radio stations? Time being the most useful, meet me @ at . weather, radio, just for an extra touch of realism. -Admin CRC options. you know what im talking about. -Team creation / editing; ie team names, which models go to the team, weapons, health, spawnpoints, etc. -Improved Team balancing, cops only get armor, sailors only get regen health, thats just weak, these should be available to all teams or none. atleast if someone has a weapon i want, i can kill them to get it.
  5. Hollower (gtaforums.com modder) has a released a script for Blender (freeware 3d modelling app) that allows you to make new player models for Vice. Steve M (st.mu, another gtaforums member) is working on a tool / tutorial for users of 3ds Max R3, with the old renderware DFF exporter, to also create completely new scratchmade players, and he's done it too, we're currently waiting for his official release. Anyway, your no longer limited to just the models currently ingame (just put the newly made models over the strippers, and players you can use). If you need an artist, you know where to look
  6. in a game where people are consistenly bitching/moaning/groaning/complaining/ and whining about lag and choppy gameplay, id be curious to see just how many people are using this and MTA at the same time. im sure its helping alot

  8. nonetheless, if they have infact figured out how to sync that data, i think they should include it, and let the server admins decide whether the hunter weapons make it into gameplay or not. preferably unaltered too, ie, no "weak" version of the weapons.
  9. yea, limit the ammo. and exactly how are we going to reload a hunter, hmm? its not like there are weapon pickups that give ammo to vehicles, once the hunter runs dry, then what? the entire point of having the hunter would be to shoot continuosly...

    well i know its the xyz of a person on foot, but i thought if you were in a car, it put you where the seat dummies were for that vehicle, and then just stored the vehicle's xyz until you got out. which is why i went for the "crash the game horribly" theory, since it wouldnt have any place to put the other players...

    i was never able to test my theory, since you cant officially mod the game, and i dont care enough to cheat for it. but if you claim that its not a problem, where do the rear passengers sit on cars that dont have a back seat / doors? perhaps they float about somewhere or what?

  14. umm.....wtf??! i havent seen that kind of graphics corruption before. well, make sure you have the latest video card drivers, if you have a card by Nvidia, there was an issue with some of their cards that caused graphics corruption. there was also a patch from R* that you can try if updating your drivers doesnt help.

  17. http://www.divxland.org/gta/shoutcastradio/ 'nuff said. careful about your bandwith though, if your game is already laggy, or your on 56k, i highly recommend NOT using this with MTA!!! its pretty l33t though, listening to live radio whilst in the game, it adds another dimension to the gameplay when one aspect is actually very real (the radio). its not like if a song comes on that you like, you can get back in your car later and hear it agin; when its gone, its gone.     you can't set the handling by the server. you cant set it at all. if its anything other than what the game comes with by default, it will not work without cheating.
  20. apparently sanity doesnt always prevail; am i the only person who does NOT like the idea of the pizza scooters in mta? if someone starts that gang, i will intentionaly start one will the sole pupose of killing them in retaliation. with the Ice Cream truck.

    if i have to restrict my cars to replacing specific vehicles, then alot of the fun is gone. what if i like sports cars? what if i replace every 4-doored car in the game with cars that have 2 doors, because i like these cars better? thats my choice. the only real rules that apply here (in SP mode) are the ones that come with the readme of the car and even they arent set in stone. but again, since modding isnt allowed, this is a worthless point in the first place. asking if you want to be able to use the handling line the other person has, wont happen, because you would need to be able to mod it.

    what the the? where did my reply go? you cant tell me someone was offended... edit: ok, ill summarize it.. option 1. more cars weapons players + smaller combat areas = more action. if youve seen my topic on splitting vice city, then you know this already.
  23. er, why? they're the same as the regular faggio except for the pizza-throwing part, which if im not mistaken, wouldnt work in multi anyway. so aside from the cosmetic difference, its the same. use a faggio.

    well thats just bullshit, you CAN replace a car without ever touching the handling. However, even if you replace just the model, youll run into other problems. For example; the police car has 4 doors, and they are used by every person in the game, when a passenger gets in. Now what happens if you replace a 4-doored vehicle with one that only has 2 doors? whenever someone tried to get in, through a door that didnt exist in your game (the back doors), it would crash, because in their game, the car they are getting into, has parts the player is intereacting with, that the player cannont interact with on your game. the only way this could work is if everyone has the same car models (or models with the same number of / identity of) parts. but then they would need to allow mods for that and they dont. so its moot point.

MMORPG Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game MTA is neither massive nor an rpg. get a new term. so say you get 24 ppl in your server, the limit as far as i know. what do you do? stand around and talk? its not like there's a dragon anywhere to fight, or any villains actually. the only interactive elements are each other, guns and the vehicles. That narrows the actions down to driving talking and shooting. personally, i dont start conversations in games, which is what AIM MSN and IRC is for. now the only actions left are driving and shooting. and you can bet your sweet ass if i see a group of people just standing around bullshiting, im either going to become really good at Hit-And-Run, or im busting out the M16 and wasting all of you. so i dont suggest talking unarmed...
