Make sure MTA is installed in the proper locations. Try the first time user guide link on the main page. mta.scm and mtas.scm should be in the VCROOT/data/ dir of, american.gxt should me in the VCROOT/MTA/ dir and your GTA:VC path in MTA should be set to the exe where these directories exist as sub-directories.

As you should be able to see from the teaser image, yes we are using the chat that is very very similar to MTA:VC. Exact features in the next release are to be given at a later date.

As I said, the PC that is running the server must connect to "localhost", whereas the other LAN computers wishing to play must connect to the LAN IP (not localhost).

All I have to say is developing this version is bringing back some great memories, and we hope the community is pleasently surprised by some of the features we have implemented.

I am really surprised this is happening on the official servers (it sure isn't me doing it). I will look into it as this should not be the case, no matter what our opinions of gtat are.

What server was that on?

The PC that the server is running on should be connected to "localhost", and any other LAN computer's should be using the LAN IP Address. If you both use the LAN IP Address, I do not believe it will work.

Are you actually saying that it is hard to see Help section on the menu, and the BLUE First time users guides link. C'mon now.

Is there anything different in the game configuration of the systems? Like, for example, on one machine are you using a no cd crack, and the other the legal version. Is one of the machines setup as 1.1 and the other 1.0?

Have you tried playing the game regularly? .... These things may occur then. If so, update your drivers and use a non-cracked 1.1 Echo sound is NOT MTA's fault, but rather the game / your sound drivers. So don't blame us on that one.

Although I normally do not respond to posts like this, you had a blatent call out for things that we have that the gtaT video did not. Can we say weapons? .... One of the most important things, besides driving, in GTA is shooting people. I am not saying they won't have it, I am sure quite the opposite, but how about you think before you speak.

Chances are this is just ASE checking your IP and incorrectly determining your location. As far as I know this is not a setting thing, but I may be wrong. Does it really matter? .... When joining a Server I don't look at location, I look at Ping.

The Server also does not make any changes to VC files. There is no way that we caused things to stop working on the game ... so you may want to check out some other things.

You should know by now that there is a lot of bad blood between the teams, especially as of late, and although we are all striving for the same goal, I just don't think we can get there by working together. I wish it would be the case, but you know how it goes.

There was a lot more bad blood than that, and this is not the time nor the place to discuss such matters officially (we probably never will). Let's just say the two teams had a falling out.
