You shouldn't have to forward any incoming ports to make MTA work. Try various servers in the server browser, see what happens.
-
That'd be like Microsoft doing an advertisment showing windows blue screening, crashing and refusing to turn on for no apparent reason... Either way, just be a bit patient. Many people have to wait much longer for other mods.

Is it possible to use HDTV resolutions without patching GTA?
eAi replied to a topic in General discussion
We may support higher resolutions in MTA:SA DM. Can't promise though. -
Paying for accounts is the only valid idea that has been suggested, and its not something we are going to do. That said, server admins could do it for their own server (or people could create a network of servers that subscribe to the system).

Yes, you can "shoot and stuff", but your position won't be correct, neither will you be able to get into or out of vehicles as driver or passenger, or actually play the game. Its a bug, thats all. PLEASE SEARCH!

So, i can only play mta with a version 1 game?
eAi replied to Motokid600's topic in General discussion
Using no-cd exes will not cause it to say you're cheating - thats something else. -
Find a server with anti-cheat turned off.

In my experience vote kicking isn't that effective as: - Its impossible to find a percentage of votes required that makes everyone happy. You don't want to end up running a server where all the good players get kicked - not a way to get popular. At the same time its frustrating if you need just one more player to kick someone you know is cheating. I've never seen a system that works reliably. This is the same issue we had with our 1.0 vote map command. - People who are kicked can just rejoin and hence disrupt the game even more as everyone continuously has to vote to keep them off the server. Vote bans are even more risky. If servers wish to experiment themselves, they're welcome to. If someone comes up with a fair system we might implement it in a future release. We aim to try to catch hacks at the point they affect the game, not at the point of input. As such, we tend to avoid catching specific hack methods such as watching keys or scanning people's PCs as these are somewhat invasive.

Make sure you're not running the server, run the client.

We haven't finalized this yet, race is very popular so while people still want to play it we'll try to support it.
-
No, you can't scale objects. We do actually scale objects in the editor (in the model browser, the objects scale to fit on your screen), but their collision doesn't scale with them. So although you could make a "huge ass" ramp, only a tiny bit would be solid.

We haven't announced any mods other than Deathmatch and Race, I don't think we will do in the near future either. That bug you mention is fixed in deathmatch.

Search! Or just read down about 5 posts: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=17189 Its a bug, players aren't synced - any sync is purely coincidental.

We're doing our best

Certainly don't flame anyone. They aren't getting flamed for their suggestion, just the way they're making it. Of course we don't control the images that people want, thats not to say we shouldn't expect people to act maturely on this forum.
-
Its the fact that hes doing it intentionally to fit with his image of being a 'Gangsta'. If it was due to poor understanding of english it'd be another matter. The same applies to people using l33tsp3k or variants. No reason they should expect a sensible answer if they can't write a sensible question.

We'd love to do this sometime, but it certainly won't be the first release.
-
Certainly won't be in the first release, but we'll think about it.

The MTA Team cannot be in a position where we're acting as arbitrators for bans. If some third party wishes to do this, they're welcome to, but we've got more than enough on our plate as it is. Bans really aren't relaible enough to make that useful anyway, changing your IP is rarely very hard.
-
Look, its just a glitch. Theres nothing really that interesting about it, all it is is a load of half-syced players, no reason anyone would waste their time faking that.

Is the DM Mod being alpha/beta tested for too long?

What was in your posts. I didn't see them, are you sure you posted here? -
Is the DM Mod being alpha/beta tested for too long?
eAi replied to Outram's topic in General discussion
Making a converter takes time. As does packaging up a release and supporting it. We have no need for more testers, so theres nothing really to be gained by us for releasing a buggy version early. -
Well, its always a balance - and generally releasing the mod sooner seems better than wasting a month of anti-cheat.

Well, we don't mind people asking us to release sooner - as long as they're rational about it and listen to what we have to say on the matter! We obviously aren't obliged to release anything, but we do try our best! -
Well, we've had a few competitions where you've been able to win servers for a month or two...
