  1. Install Windows XP Service Pack 3. Is there a D3D9.dll in your GTASA folder? If so, delete it and try again.
  2. Tell your friend to try following this guide (but forward only ports 22003 and 22126, not 44003 as the guide says). Afterwards, verify that the ports are open using this site.
  3. What is the model of your router?
  4. If you played MTASA before version 1.0.4, did the issue happen in those versions? Are you sure that there's no error or messagebox when the game freezes?
  5. Even the Questions subforum does not receive much traffic for obvious reasons, so if any threads asking for support with mIRC scripting were to pop up, I wouldn't miss them. There is simply no point right now for another subforum on the forums. If somebody wishes to find an old topic about mIRC scripting, there's the search function, and there's nothing stopping them from creating a topic for help if they want some fresh information.
  6. Does it happen in one specific server, or any server you happen to join?
  7. It does exist, it's at 91.203.222.71. It shows up in the External Server Browser application which you should have if you have the latest repack of MTA 0.5.
  8. Does the issue happen in single player GTASA, or any other games?
  9. Update your graphics driver.
  10. In VC you could change the frequency of the vehicle's engine sound via memory address (so I assume the same thing is possible in single player SA), but then again frequency is not the same thing as pitch.
  11. What's your OS and video card? Update your DirectX runtimes.
  12. I don't know what's going on, but I think this shouldn't be in the "Server" support section. Moved to General Discussion.
  13. While you have a valid point, activity for MTA 0.x in general right now is still extremely low. A dedicated section may be viable in the future but as it is now it's probably not worth having a new section for three or four posts every couple months. The "Questions" subforum will suffice for now. Not only that, but few active members are still proficient with mIRC scripting for MTA, so help would be few and far between.
  14. There may have been a mirror on our file archive, but it's down at the moment. Not only that, but this script is for MTA 0.5, not MTA:SA, so be sure you're looking for the correct script. Also, why the hell is this in MTA:SA Race Add-ons subforum? Moved to uhh... I dunno, General MTA:VC.

    MTA for GTA IV

GTA:VC has trails that can be enabled via memory address but they're pretty fugly. Trails work, but there's also some red haze type thing that's annoying to look at after a while.
  17. Some SCM to find proper camera positions I assume. It's possible to go through buildings and crap too.
  18. I misinterpreted the SCM for the "spectator" mode. It's really just the GTA3 equivalent of this: I'm sure I could adapt MTA:VC's spectator code, but it's not worth my time.
  19. As stated earlier, compatibility with newer versions of GTASA would be more of a priority than a Mac port as the userbase for those is significantly higher.
  20. Fixed the issue where Yakuza players would sometimes spawn outside atop the Ammunation building after exiting the Ammunation buying menu. Also, upon further testing in MTA, the color bug is still relatively rampant despite lower occurrence in single player. Maybe it'll remain a mystery. I noticed that the other two islands have the same issue with MTA:VC's car scanner code as Staunton does. I can probably fix it, but I don't think it's worth the effort or time as I'd most likely have to use pauses as the original code does, so I'll just use the original car scanner code. I haven't even ran the work-in-progress "spectator mode" in single-player to observe its behavior. Even then, would a spectator mode really be utilized? Spectator mode in MTA:VC is quite crashy.
  21. Memory addresses and some sort of graphics subsystem (Macs don't have DirectX!).
