    WTF?

Moved to Client support. Delete D3D9.dll from your GTASA directory if there is one. Update DirectX runtimes.
  2. You're welcome. Strange that 1.0.4 doesn't install properly, though!
  3. Update DirectX runtimes. Delete any D3D9.dll in your GTASA directory if there is one. Does GTASA single player run fine?
  4. Moved to proper Client support section.
  5. See if MTA:SA 1.0.3 will install.
  6. Follow this guide to forward ports 22003 and 22126 TCP and UDP.
  7. Moved to "Server" support section.

    Error:(

vorbisFile.dll is a file installed and used by GTA:SA. Verify that it exists in your GTA San Andreas directory. If not, reinstall GTA.
  9. MTA doesn't have any official servers to the best of my knowledge, so you'd have to complain to the server operators/owners of the server.
  10. Moved to Maps Support section.
  11. It doesn't matter where you place the installer. Try moving it to the Desktop and running it from there (as administrator).
  12. Right click the installer and click "Run As Administrator".
  13. With the release of GTA: LU 0.1 I think it's time to start converting the three GTA3:MTA islands to Squirrel scripting. It looks like AdTec_224 already beat me to the punch for a simple version of Portland that's just vehicle, object placement, and random spawning based on ped nodes. EDIT: Finished vehicle repositioning for all three islands. I believe the SCMs are completed now. All that's left is some memory address work for GTA3MTA and a bit more code cleanup for MTAVC.
  14. Try redownloading the installer. Which version of Windows are you running?
  15. Correct. I forgot about that fact. GiMax, verify that your port forwarding settings are correct in your router. What's the model of your router?
  16. Oh, I guess I found the wrong driver. I don't think there is a newer driver available for your laptop on the AMD website, or on Compaq's support website. The network driver update certainly won't make MTA run (but it doesn't hurt to update, anyway), so I believe you're out of luck. Your laptop simply cannot run MTA, to the best of my knowledge. If you can track down some RAM to add to your laptop, it might work, but that's just a guess. Sorry!
  17. Moved to Scripting subforum.
  18. My apologies. Download from here.
  19. Moved to Server support. Verify that ports 22003 and 22126 are open using this site.
  20. That is quite marginal, it may not be able to run MTA at all. Nonetheless, try installing these: Graphics drivers Network driver
  21. Please post a dxdiag log (instructions above).

    MTA:SA crashing.

Ok, that's fine. Please try running IntelBurnTest to verify your overclock is still stable.

    MTA:SA crashing.

Install the following: Graphics driver Audio driver Network driver (download and install "Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1428291)") DirectX runtimes If your crashing issues began with MTASA 1.0.4, try 1.0.3. Did you have crashing issues before you updated to your beta build of W7 Service Pack 1? Are you sure your overclock is stable? Run IntelBurnTest. Install the following: Graphics driver Audio driver Chipset driver Network driver (download and install "WinXP, Win2K, Win2003 Auto Installation Program (SID:1428295)") And update DirectX runtimes if you haven't already If your crashing issues began with MTASA 1.0.4, try 1.0.3. It looks like your RAM is capped at 3.5GB. Do you have 4GB of RAM installed? If so, an upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit would be beneficial as you would regain around 576MB of otherwise unusable RAM. It seems that these suggestions are more general troubleshooting steps than trying to pinpoint a specific issue with MTASA. I don't know what else to try, to be honest. It seems that a lot of crashing issues recently have been from users with regional settings set to non-English (though that might just be coincidence). Anybody else have some input? ccw, maybe?

    MTA:SA crashing.

Moved to Client support. Go to Start -> type dxdiag and press enter -> click "Save All Information..." and post the contents of that here (in tags, please). Also update DirectX runtimes.
