  1. Some updates: GTA3 SCMs: Placed original carscanner code back in since MTA:VC's had issues. I managed to speed it up so it doesn't have that annoying pause when trying to use it initially. SSV: Fixed Yakuza gang members sometimes spawning on the roof of Ammunation after exiting one. VC SCMs: Vice 1.1 compatibility for memory addresses. Wanted stars are now invisible for any resolution. Only thing left to do for GTA3:MTA's SCMs is polishing up vehicle placement for all three islands. Vehicle repositioning done! No progress for the asi as of yet, but Stoku and I shall finish that up soon. MTABrowser will have the capability to download a Welcome Message (mtaclientwelcome.dat) upon startup, with a backup server or servers in place to guarantee availability of the welcome message, as well as graceful handling of unavailability in the event that all servers for the file are down unlike MTAClient which just crashes in that case. I should have some more significant news soon.
  2. Try the VSC++ 2010 redistributable then run Windows Update.
  3. What is listed under "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel for "Microsoft Visual C++"? Example:
  4. Which Service Pack of Windows are you running? Check in Start -> Control Panel -> System. Did you install any single-player modifications recently?
  5. Download VSC++ 2005 redistributable and VSC++ 2008 redistributable and install them. I'm not sure which one MTA requires (or if it requires both), so just install both.
  6. gta_sa.set in the "GTA San Andreas User Files" in your "Documents" directory. Though I believe the GTASA uninstaller does not delete it.
  7. Excellent. You're quite welcome.
  8. Try deleting any D3D9.dll in your GTA San Andreas directory if one exists. If not, try deleting "D3DX9_42.dll" in the \MTA\ directory of the Multi Theft Auto folder.
  9. Topic moved to Server support subforum. You must forward ports 22003 and 22126 in your router for players to connect to your server. If you need help with this, please tell us the model of your router.
  10. My apologies for the port number typo; I was thinking of 22126 and typed 126 rather than 123. Fixed above.
  11. Try deleting gta_sa.set in the "GTA San Andreas User Files" in your "Documents" (Vista/7) or "My Documents" (XP) folder. You say that MTA works fine, but not GTA:SA single player?
  12. No, you don't need the program. The program itself is not functional anymore, anyway. As long as your server port + 123 is verified open using this site then your server should be listed on Game-Monitor within 48 hours.
  13. Update your DirectX runtimes and video drivers.
  14. Also, mabako's External Server Browser application or Game-Monitor's listing can be used to connect to servers externally.
  15. Quite possibly. If you've had a reason to install them before, then you likely still have an application which requires the .NET Framework. However, I don't think that any version of MTA uses the .NET Framework at all, so I don't see why uninstalling it would help with your issue. You can always try I suppose, and if it doesn't change anything just reinstall the .NET Framework.
  16. Like I said, that's possible, but it would require a significant amount of scripting for enough randomization of pedestrians and vehicles (which would ideally spawn around players, not completely fixed peds/cars).
  17. The wiki is back up. Also, irc.multitheftauto.com is still down, so connect using irc.gtanet.com.
  18. Try updating your DirectX runtimes. What is your OS and video card?
  19. There was a post about this here. In short, it'd be possible using quite a bit of scripting, but the peds/cars etc wouldn't really be as random as single player.
  20. I suppose so. I would assume there was some conflicting program or misconfiguration of .NET in your case varez; if issues were widespread, Microsoft would have fixed the issues by now I'm sure.
  21. Are you running XP? To have not had a need to install .NET Framework 2.0, which was released in early 2006, seems mind boggling today with widespread use of the framework. I don't know what you guys are talking about regarding issues with .NET. I've not personally had any issues with it. cris12821, are you running MTA:SA 1.0.4? If not, upgrade. Also, try installing .NET 3.5 and .NET 4.0 which may help resolve your issues with the .NET Framework.
  22. "Submit a job application to the employment agency." sounds a bit better.

    Need help

Verify ports again using canyouseeme. Also, what's the model of your router?
