  1. Yes, please post a dxdiag log. Press the Windows key + R, type dxdiag, press Enter, click Save all information... and post the contents of the saved log here within tags. EDIT: Whoa, that is extremely marginal, even for GTA:SA. Your friend may not be able to run MTASA at all, but post a dxdiag log regardless using instructions above.
  2. Delete D3D9.dll from your GTASA directory if one exists and any mods if you have any.
  3. I got MTAVC executing SCMs of a different filename. This is good in that I may not need team support with fixing up the client/server to have a release, but I need to find a way to run CRC checking for those files now. I also have to get GTA3:MTA doing this, but that's easy. GTA3:MTA now executing other SCMs. Yay. Also fixed the motorcycle passenger glitch correctly (you can get on as a passenger alone with no crashing). Credit goes to kyeman for that (got it from VCMP 0.1c source). Here's a funny glitch I had to fix after fixing the motorcycle crash: After getting off a motorcycle as a passenger with no driver, I was able to control the motorcycle using my sprint and directional keys! EDIT: Forgot to make the video Public, oops.
  4. Please list your network adapter model. Follow instructions I posted above.
  5. Topic unlocked. There are currently two errors: click. The forum also has 11 errors: click. Community 4: click. Wiki 3: click. Mantis 1: click. EDIT: Community fixed. EDIT2: Main site fixed.
  6. Does http://game-monitor.com/ load in a web browser?
  7. Find your external IP using www.whatismyip.com and enter that.
  8. http://home.deds.nl/~aeron/files/ still works, and is what the links lead to on the MTA:mA wiki page currently
  9. I've mirrored all versions currently available on Aeron's website on the file archive.
  10. Moved to Client support. This issue happens on every server?
  11. Just a random idea which probably won't achieve anything, but what's the model of your network card? There may be a newer driver available. You can find the name(s) by pressing Windows key + R and type "devmgmt.msc" and click OK, then under "Network adapters" list the name(s).
  12. I found a memory address to disable grass. I don't know if this has any other side effects, and I don't know how to make this a function. Here is the result: Grass: No grass: nop 0x5BF8EA EDIT: Of course, all of the above is no use to you. Display of grass is controlled by the in-game setting "Visual FX". If set to "Low", grass is turned off. Why exactly do you want to disable grass via script, anyway? If a player's computer already struggles to play GTASA, their graphical settings are probably at the lowest possible settings regardless.
  13. There is an old wiki article about using screen with MTA 0.5 server. I believe the process would be the same for using MTASA's server, though. Wiki article
  14. I get the same page. Use http://www.multitheftauto.com/ for the time being instead. I will alert the webmaster.
  15. No idea if this will help anything, but try deleting gta_sa.set in the "GTA SA User Files" folder in your Documents library. There are also new driver updates for your system: Graphics driver 233.09 (the link says Vista but it'll work fine on W7) Ethernet driver (download and install "Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1428291)"
  16. GTA:SA works correctly in Single Player, right? Please provide a dxdiag report by pressing Windows Key + R, typing dxdiag, clicking "OK", then clicking "Save All Information...". Post the contents of that text file here within tags.
  17. Oli, do you still have a copy of Clan RPG Script v3.10 by Jax and Oli? The mirror's been long dead.
  18. The color bug is strongly affected by weather. Setting "RandomWeather" to "0" in mtaserver.conf combined with the previous SCM tweak of forcing weather to be sunny seems to have eliminated or significantly reduced the occurrence and severity of the color bug, but this was with testing with only two people in SSV, so a larger test is required to verify results. The root cause of the color bug is somewhere in the SSV SCM though, and since the color bug did exist in earlier versions of MTA 0.x which had multiple player skins for Portland/Staunton then I'd assume it's somewhere in the spawn menu system, because the other two islands are not affected by the glitch in 0.5. Conveniently, weather sync was deliberately disabled in 0.4.1 ("Minimized freezing in GTA3 by removing weather sync (for now)"), so this bandaid fix currently has no negative side effects. Fixing the root cause is a very low priority for me due to that fact. I've added a check in the ASI file to read the SCM's filename in GTA's memory, and if the second byte is "t" (i.e. "mtapl.scm") then it's MTA, otherwise it's single player and the ASI will not execute. The addresses found for starting the game automatically break radio in vehicles until the player pauses and unpauses though, so I need to find a fix for that. I also found all of the other memory addresses I require save the one to disable the radar.
  19. Moved to Server support section. Please paste the contents of your mtaserver.conf located in your MTASA installation directory\mods\deathmatch\mtaserver.conf. Use tags.
  20. Try running the game in full screen and see if the issue occurs.
  21. Install the following: Graphics driver Audio driver Ethernet driver (download and install "Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1428291)" Update DirectX runtimes if you haven't already
