I believe the minimizing may be caused by MTA causing the Windows Aero theme to disable. I believe there is a setting in 1.0.5 to workaround this setting. I can't explain your first crash.

First, please try going to Settings -> Binds -> Load defaults, then restart MTA and see if that fixes your issue. I assume you have tried updating your audio driver, at the very least? Doubt it'd fix it, but you never know. I noticed you are using the graphics & audio drivers from the Compaq support website (or simply the original drivers that came with your system pre-installed), which explains their age.
