MTA's anticheat system uses a blacklist of words (mod, trainer, hack etc) and it scans the local memory for any of these, and if it finds them, you get disconnected. It could be that you load a webpage with one of these words in, a popular one is imageshack. It could also be a popup, or an msn message from someone with one of the words in their name. Make sure you close everything while you're playing.

It's the game port + 123. So if your game port is 2003, the ASE port would be 2003 + 123 so therefore it would be 2126.

MTA:VC works across LAN, I see no reason why they would take that feature out of the newer core. And I was actually giving that link for the genius who asked if it was out yet.

It *IS* supported on Windows 2000 and XP. Try updating your Windows 2000 service pack, and if that doesn't work you you've already updated it then post a more detailed explanation (maybe accompanied by a screenshot) of what actually happens.

That's a total lie (Oli), you obviously do know pascal, why would you just let some random person code a huge part of a DLL and not even check it? And then not that long ago, you were kicking people off the SGB server from remote admin. I can't believe you did some kind of shit like this. Uninstall MTA. Uninstall Vice City. Delete the Vice City folder. Install Vice City, no mods, cheats, trainers etc, no patched exe. Play it once. Install MTA. Play. PS. MTA's current cheat protection (as useless as it is) runs be checking the memory for words like "hack", "cheat", "trainer" etc, so make sure you have NOTHING ELSE OPEN WHILE PLAYING MTA!

Unless you have a NAT or Proxy, ports do not need to be opened for outbound connections, only inbound, and as far as I can gather from this topic, it's not him that's hosting the server.

Why with a big X, is it a patched exe or the original?
