Suggestion for MTA VC 0.4.5

Please make a Anti-Bot script or something like that, Bot's make MTA-servers go crazy! for exapmle: all cars fall out of the air next to the big boat @ the sailor spawn..

one bot is also able to crash everyone, and when u try to get in the game, you will crash when u see the MODT...

please fix this huge problem that is bugging mta VC 0.4.1 at this moment!

Another thing: Please make sure that the Characters in VC spawn at more widely spread locations, so there will be a spawn in each part of MTA with Usefull characters, yes i said usefull because I think the Vice city crusader is totally useless, and annoying with the different spawning!

On the other hand: Robbers and Mexicans are the most used characters in MTA:VC, but the problem is that they just spawn at one place, the spawnwars are just huge at times in all servers i've been on! Maybe it is an idea that the Robbers and Mexicans have several spawns to avoid huge spawnwars and spawnkilling...

Like the VCC, there is the same story for the Cops, just too many spawns for just one character - one positive thing about this character is that it isn't totally usless -

Hope you can change some of the parts i just wrote..!

not realy posible as it is packet edditing unles u put a cap on the cars like u cant get into more than 1 car a second

cause doing so will result in a kick in the balls i mean outa the server

but that wond stop the problem cause the bot would just w8 for a second to pass and then do anuther one ;)

They could maybe limit the size of the packets a connected play can send. Bots send huge packet, compared with those a normal player sends. I don't think that would take much doing.

Anyway punkcatcher for mta:ma is fairly good at catching them, although of course some are even immune to that.

I agree with your second point

If everyone randomly spawned at serveral places like cops and crusaders do it would spread out the game play and end the spawnwars.

The reason for the different occupations was a teamplay thing and that would work if the skins were not so varied... If all robbers always looked like robbers we could have a teambased server where you would be kicked/slapped for teamkilling... that would be great

But if the skins are going to be like they are now it would be better to abandon the characters all together and have some weapons that people love as pickups like in GTA3 or just have everyone spawn randomly after they pick a character.

FMJ Oli wrote a script that prevents robbers and it's a nice change of pace. I want to see if we could have one that only let you spawn as a cop or crusader so noone could effectively spawnwar... that might be too confusing for people who join... But if this type of city wide battle was part of the game it would be an improvement.

Aside from that is it possible to have a random spawn server with one type of character and weapon pickups, much like we have stunt servers now?

a script could be written where the person is pmed every time he dies exactly how to spawn next, lest there be punishment. something like a kick every 3 times the player disobeys. that would enforce a city wide battle, but i dont think people will be willing to live under the thumb of the scripts might oppresion.

Those are interesting suggestions,but I think it would be better to make a proximity check to see if the player is in, let's say, 500 units near any player,and if so,pause wouldn't work,but if the player was 500 or more units away from others,it would allow him to pause.Just to make sure people couldn't pause on their eminent death..

Might also be good to add a 2 seconds pause protection if this is implemented,or else add a "PAUSED" next to the player's nick so others could see. :idea:

that last point u said boss, was a pretty nice one, the pausing will stop more soon i think, and u don't have to waste bullets on people that r pausing ;)

But what i actually want about the spawnpoint-locations , is that i just want it more spread over VC, because most players don't even get to the first island!

Just like Prawn Island, when the robberspawn was still there, it was the most cool place to fight, no spawnwars at all, now in 0.4.1 nobody actually comes there because it isn't interesting enough! Nobody spawns there, only VCC-players will drive through that island coz it is on their route (if they spawn @ the nortpoint mall).

And the characters that only have one spawnpoint are quite useless, if u think of teamplay, there isn't any character-teamplay in Mta like robbers vs cops... so I think it would be a great improvement if you could spawn on several places with one character..

Preventing pausing is out of the reach of version 0.4.5

A script that made you spawn other places exists now in Oli's GRS it prevents you from spawning twice as the same thing

I also have run the No Robber script that Oli gave me and that helps...

What is very posssible in this next installment is a tweak to where people spawn and what weapons they get. I hope this is considered and hopefully implemented

Not exactly what RazoR ment, with that script you can't spawn twice as a robber, what RazoR means is: You can spawn twice as a robber, but at different spawn area's, for example: First time you spawn @ phill's place, second time @ Prawn Island, thirth time @ Malibu, and so on...

Just as cops do... They spawn all over VC, so it's almost impossible for cops to have huge spawn wars...

It would be great if the pausing thingy could be 'fixed', so people ain't whining about you pausing when you crash or sumthin...

For example: When a player presses the 'Esc' button, the server sends a message with: 'Player is on pause.', or something like that...

Just as the join messages, leave messages, deaths etc... Dnnw if it's possible, but it'd be great if it is...

What wud be fantastic is a solution against bots, they are ruining servers, the game and the fun people have in playing the game, some people even quit playing mta because of it, servers are getting empty when another one enters with a bot and messes the game up big time... Wud be great if u cud find a solution or sumthin...

Anyway... Is there any information around about the 'updates' in 0.4.5?

Yo man how about if u can fix that annoying bug like when u look at a person on the right side trying 2 carjack ur vichelle it looks like hes trying 2 stand and try 2 ask u something. That looks 2 me that its a bug. Even when i get out of the car (say my partner is driving) I would get out of the car and land in behind of my car.

I thx that u should create a different spawn point 4 the weapons place (where u buy weapons and stuff) because there r some people who is a weapon spawn killer and then thats really cheap.

And another thing. How come theres no weather change in GTA 3? Thats boring if u cannot change weather and its still cloudy outside than if its raining. Can u try 2 fix that?

So if u try 2 fix those, this will really improve the gameplay and that more of the people use mta.

That's because the car jacking animation isn't synchronised.

And another thing. How come theres no weather change in GTA 3? Thats boring if u cannot change weather and its still cloudy outside than if its raining. Can u try 2 fix that?

They had this in 0.4 but removed it in 0.4.1 because it caused instability. They removed it as a "quick fix" measure, so they may have spent some time in 0.4.5 trying to get it working.

0.4.5 also offers a new map for GTA3 (Shoreside Vale) plus synced skins. That's all we know so far.

yeah I really hope we get a stable weather change option for GTA 3 in the next release, question is if its possible :)

reason there ain't 3 isles in MTA:GTA3 is that there wasen't any easy solution to handle the loading between them. There was a vote poll a while back, when they started on MTA:GTA 3, asking the community if they wanted to have seperate islands or one HUGE. The majority voted single isles, and it is, also, I believe much easier for the MTA team to develop. :)

Having all Liberty City open would require some kind of teleport between the islands and that would perhaps not look so good :P

actually, the poll is wrong, most people (including myself) understood it wrong so they later changed opinion

I think it's also because of the car limit, the cars would be waaaaay too spread out and you'd have to run for ages if you wrecked yours

i love all the liberty islands,they packed so many cool things into such a tight space. just as many things to see as in vice city, just packed into a tighter area. i was looking forward to staunton, but shoreside will rock just as well. it's so hilly and so many great "arenas" to fight in (airport, the hideout, the overpass, all the suburbs, even up the mountain)
