oh.. you might as well wipe them off the map then Cerbera if they are cheaters. My point was maybe you shouldn't allow people to claim bases with map shifting areas, since they are not allowed in gangwars.

No-one ever supplyed me a link to any official guidelines that say shift locations cannot be used. If you read through the thread the actually claimed the roof of the stadium because they use trainers, I told them they had to use the ground level without trainers in public battles. If they've been excluded for using trainers in public events then I'll wipe them off the map in the next update.

I've asked VCP if they still want to keep thier location on this map because they seem to just be going through a re-shuffle, rather than actually closing. When they make thier decision I will do the next map update.

(EDIT) Many thanks to the staff for finally sticking this topic at the top and removing some of those redundant threads.

Just popping by to say that I've seen your message but that I don't have enough time to update the image. It's gonna be a real pain updating it now, because some of the text has started to overlap the coastline.

Please remove the link to that image, it will confuse people who visit this thread as the information on it will conflict with actual map.

I made a pretty sly move and removed [DRUG] and put WtF in it's place, so no horrible messing around with floating bits of original radar textures over the gaps! I take it you meant to use this location? If so, you were using the wrong square road on your image - it's North-West the dirt track square, which is West of the parabolic curve coming from the golf course.

You are listed in the official list so that's good. However, some people don't like gangs who chose locations where there is a teleport to reach the interior. In the heat of battle there can be a severe delay between entering the interior and having the textures load. If you can find a different location that would be excellent but if your hearts are set on the Malibu then I won't stop you from having it.

Washington Mall is a great choice, one of the most spectacular locations by far. It also has a rooftop and health is just across the road. Good call.

Ammo roof for us only one way up and thats the ramp if its in a match sum matchs dont have chopper killz aloud so it s a cool place only have to worry bout people cuming at u in one place plus u have health up there and afew little hide outs down the stairs good place.

Not if u use a packer to get up the back staircase or climb a vehicle up the backway

I think you guys asked for that a few weeks ago but I never got round to adding it, heh. It's on the image now, though. Good choice as there is health up there and also those garages offer great cover against people on the ground and using helicopters.

The car park where the "Cone Crazy" mission is begun by entering the Stallion on the roof, yeah? That location hasn't been taken, but your gang isn't listed in the official gang list. Make sure your gang fits the rules set out for adding yourselves to it, then be sure you update that list if your members change. Once you've made the list, reply back here and I'll add you.

As these HQ's currently serve no other purpose than a fun thread, (they arent used in matches on the whole), I'm in the process of working out a ladder where gangs can fight for territories, (think racing for pink slips, but replace racing with killing and pink slips for property deeds ).

Wether this will be incorperated into the Clanbase style ladder in development, or will stand seperate is yet to be decided.

Interesting idea. This topic isn't "just for fun" though, as I think it says in the first post this is useful for any public games as clans can re-group at a known location and during clan vs clan games the bases are used to assualt and defend.

This ladder idea isn't going to work because the MTA:VC community is too casual, imho. As the game is not 100% reliable due to lag and some of the methods the programmers used, people don't trust it enough to stake thier reputation on a ladder tournament using it. Plus it just isn't as fun when you're just playing for petty dominion instead of to just have an enjoyable time.

I see a lot of possible problems with this idea, it really needs more clarification before people will commit to it.

Vass, it's generally a bad idea to take properties which have interior loading screens, for reasons which have been stated many times in this thread. If your heart is really set on it then I'll let you have it, but it would be much better if you chose a different location.

Its a ladder, not a tournament. Take a look at Clanbase some time.
