A Soldier: Because you already know the answer no, there won't be peds in the next release, unless they're hiding that feature in a secret lair, and don't want to announce it for an unknown reason
-
well, GTA3:MTA 0.35, and MTA:VC 0.2 are going to be very similar... currently, GTA3:MTA 0.3 is crap compared to MTA:VC 0.1. It all depends on which you like playing more... I suggest VC, it'll probably have more people, and all the spiffy new stuff, like bikes!
-
so, textures don't load, everything is blurry?... um... I give up already. try http://www.gtaforums.com... they MIGHT have something that can help...

If you're after pirates go to the BLASTA thread Thread Closed

not sure about in win2k, but in windows XP you right click on a shortcut hit properties hit compatibility play with the settings
-
Plug your drive into another (working) computer, and see if you can access any files. Also try using a boot disk, if you don't have access to another computer to play with
-
oh, yes... GTA3:MTA (0.3b) rarely has any players... MTA:VC (0.1b) usually has tons though
-
it involves.... memory addresses! They use a memory scanner to find certain things in memory GTA3:MTA 0.1 and 0.2 were based off of the GTA3 admin console... I forget the site, but that's how they originally did it. Then they moved to using a memory scanner

GTA:VC is more like GTA 3.5... Oh ya, and I'm pretty sure that VC:2003 isn't possible... in GTA 3 Tommy Vercetti is one of the people you get missions from (on the first GTA 3 island)... I think. (Donald Love, on the second GTA 3 island, is in GTA:VC too ) -
I dont know why people bicker about the Trainer crashin MTA:VC, it works perfectly fine with it as long as you DONT use any of the spawn vehicles\weapons\skin cheats and etc, some of the cheats in the trainer I use work perfectly fine. Musta been something your server didnt pick up on makin your buddy think he was the first guy who joined when someone else already did... Not from my testings...like I said above, it depends on what cheats you use. (I can have my car granite-hard and invincible and others can still see me) Dammit genexi2! don't use trainers! even if the game doesn't crash... It's no fun for everyone else on the server (and it IS possible that you're messing up their games, but can't tell)
-
someone needs to create a poll... "What OS do you run?"
-
Good suggestions, but try and avoid the use of CAPS
-
yup. supposed to be not much more than a glorified chat thing... Although there can be some interesting aspects to the game Who said cheaters make games no fun? http://wired.com/news/games/0,2101,59034,00.html

1. People aren't gonna do that 2. It'll be easy to get a new ID. 3. Possible... The server would have a list of the mods it was using I suppose...

To the developers: Some suggestions agains shaking people.

Hex numbers won't make a difference... The information sent will still be the same. it's just a different way of saying things... you could say 01111011 (binary), or you could say 7B (hex), or you could say 123 (decimal, a.k.a "normal" numbers). All are just a different way of saying the same thing... However, no matter how you say it, a computer will send it in binary (01111011). -
First of all: GOOGLE IT! I found tons of results on this. The first link/article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;297185 (the official M$ one... check that one first). Taken from: http://laptop.clemson.edu/Pilot/Support/unmount.html REASONS We believe this is happening because Windows XP is shutting down or going into hibernation mode before all files are properly closing. When the computer is turned back on, the files that were not closed are corrupted - sometimes preventing Windows from booting. Interestingly, we frequently get several of these a day --- but have had no faculty/staff to bring one in. We suspect it may have to do with the way students are using their computers - perhaps they have lots of extra background tasks (such as file sharing) running and are impatient with waiting for a normal shut down. Here are some PREVENTATIVE measures you can take: 1) Avoid hibernation mode - turn your computer off and wait until it has totally finished closing before closing the lid. 2) There are a number of issues related to disk caching that may help. One possibility is to turn off write caching on your C: drive in Windows. Here are the steps to do that: Double click My Computer Right click on your C: drive Left click on Properties Left click on Hardware Left click on Properties Left click on Policies Uncheck: Enable write cacheing on disk Left click OK Check out this link too. It'll be a great help: http://www.techtips4u.com/kb/sw/SW00014.htm And remember to use google! Oh ya, and I'D say that it wasn't MTA that did this... (my very unproffesional, and probably wrong reasons): probably just an improper shutdown MTA plays with RAM... Not hard drives/disk files (well, it does do a little with that, but less than VC [or most other software]). The main reason I'd say this though, is that this problem happens to other people, with other programs. Even professional software...

they'll probably spam ya to death, but http://www.villagephotos.com/

uh, yeah... that was me. oops. I hit edit instead of quote... This being-a-mod thing is hard to get used to
-
*sigh*... I'm not sure wether to be happy that Bacon is now pro-MTA, or to shake my head and sob.

It's been 5 minutes since they read your post. No flame wars. =)

try and keep it clean HighMR[DR]... no need for that sort of profanity
-
well, maybe not ENTIRENLY random... "Hurry! Get the briefcase into this large, unnacessible building!"
-
time as we know it still exists though... I'm dissapointed.

MTA:VC, or GTA3:MTA? (someone needs to add that to the rules... so you have to say what version... ) If you're connecting, then the IP isn't bad... it's either an error/bug, or the server is messed up... trying a different server would be the first step.
