[FMJ] :: Full Metal Jacket :: INVITE ONLY :: RECRUITING ::
DominionSpy replied to Oli's topic in Gangs
Well thanks for bumping the thread from the second page (only just), but I've just got one thing to reply to that: >>> -
Not for Europeans. We have to wait until the 10th because (so I'm told) European CD factories can't work 24/7 like US ones can. Or maybe because it's simply the fact that the US and Europe typically release on different days of the week?
-
wait and see So thats a yes? It's about all we'll get until it's released

As many as the MTA Team wants. it's their choice. That's not true - there is a limit to the number of cars the GTA engine can handle, and the MTA team are very close to that limit, if not at it.
-
Well in less than 24 hours we've logged over 1600 kills on just one mta server, we've got 150 users making it just over 10 kills per user. Just think about this - If there are 10 servers connected, just as busy as this one, the system will be logging over 16,000 kills a day! That's over 100,000 kills a week (and that's a conservative estimate). Now you may get a glimpse of how awesome this is going to be

Do you mean the radar, or the blips on the radar? I think it's been mentioned that it will be up to the add-on maker to do things like name tags and radar blips.
-
That's exactly why we don't hear much from them any more - because if one thing they say turns out differently it is torn apart by immature people.
-
Well, I wonder if it's considered as using another mod concurrently. It can give you an unfair advantage (being able to see other places on the map with free roam and that sort of thing).
-
Fair? Okay - two people have a fist fight, then one wins and goes and buys a pistol. Hmm pistol vs fist, I wonder which one will win. Also players who have been on the server for longer will have much better weapons than a player who just joined, making it near impossible for them to ever get any weapons.

GTAForums are actually slower for me . phpBB rocks your socks - head over to http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/ to see the next version which is fairly close to being finished.

How do i run a PUBLIC server when using a ROUTER?
DominionSpy replied to .:Vinny:.'s topic in General MTA discussion
Well the server will have a part of the settings for Port Forwarding. In my router it was very hard to find. Once you find the section, you'll have to specify the port numbers you want to be forwarded (this will be the ports used by the MTA server like 2003 for client, 4000 for admin etc) and the internal ip to send packets to (something like 192.168.1.2). -
Maybe they're fasinated by the topic of pausing for some reason. You might say obsessed. I think it's because people have experienced the current method and found the pausing to be annoying (of other people that is - I'm sure they find their own pausing much less annoying ).
-
I just said that further above And it was said about 3 times previously on the other pages. And on the MTA Blue page it shows a pause screen where the player is still in the game
-
Hehe, in mine too. But this is for the "masses".

The only problem is that we don't know for sure that 0.4.5 will be released in a few months. I mean, they forgot to update the progress bar and it jumped from 55% to 90% so it's hard to say if 90% is an accurate representation of the current level of progress (i.e. it could be more). On the other hand, it may stay at 90% for ages like 0.4 did. If it is longer that only makes the time between 0.4.5 and Blue shorter and even stranger. I very much doubt 0.4.5 will stay at 90% as long as 0.4 any way. Imagine playing 0.4.5 for a few weeks and then Blue comes out
-
Lazy and/or stupid - you choose.
-
Is this still the release schedule? The only reason I'm wondering is that if 0.4.5 is going to be released in the next couple of months, that's only 3 or 4 months before Blue would be released, which seems a little strange. PS @ MAD_BOY: The next release of GTA:LC is now almost certainly going to be called Beta v2.

Read his post.

Yet you've still not edited your ip/host out.

By that logic, pedophilia's not illegal unless you were the one taking pictures, and smoking pot's legal if you're not the one growing it. Unless of course it's stated as illegal to do those things.

1 says that you can only copy or distribute intact packages, but it does not say anything about receiving said packages. What I'm saying is that all the language in the EULA is geared towards those who do the modifying and distributing but not the people who use the modified client.
-
Are there plans to increase the maximum length of nicknames from 12 characters as it is now?
-
The EULA is mentioned so often. I'd like you to tell everyone where it says about using a modified client. it says something about decompiling the client or something so a cracked client has been decompiled or modifie, which isn't allowed You mean that? It only mentions modifying the files/binaries yourself - it does not mention using a modified version. If you replace any files (including the client), then you are breaking the EULA. If you modify files (or the client), then you are breaking the EULA. Where does it say that using a modified client breaks the EULA? I want to clear this up. Not because I use or want to use a cracked client (which I don't), but because I think people have been misinformed about what the EULA says.
-
I can't get how people don't understand it. If you read the Blue page, it's fairly self explanitory, yet people still come on here with the wrong impression.
