The EULA is mentioned so often. I'd like you to tell everyone where it says about using a modified client.
-
So... are we up-to-date on the progress of Blue? That page hasn't changed since it first went up.
-
Yeah they must have done if the page isn't there we have to do something
-
You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?
-
Yes - Oli and I have been working on this since before Christmas, but noog (from fr4g.co.uk) only got the database structure and what we want to be on the website a couple of days ago.

GRS Global Stats MTA:mA Scripting - Oli GRS Global Stats Server - DomSpy GRS Global Stats Website - fr4g.co.uk team

I think it's only screwed up in UK's eyes. The only players left seem to have no problems with what is happening.
-
Haha - oldest trick in the book. Oh yeah I can give you the link to the MTA modding site I check every day just to see if there's a new hack. Oh please
-
Thats very doutfull you would do the same about jax all i can say is me and junks are doing a test to solve the problem How would you test it without using a cracked client yourself? Also - you do know that nothing Jax could have done can change what damage Motnt took?
-
haha that would be so funny specially if i were driving You driving a bus? Wally would be hurt to hear you say that.

It's not really that hard:- 1. Start GTA2 Manager 2. Click Network tab 3. Select Internet TCP/IP Connection for DirectPlay in available protocols 4. One person starts a network game with nothing in the Protocol Connection box and then creates a new game 5. Other players put the ip address of the first person in the Protocol Connection and start network game, then join the game in the list

So that leaves what? 3 members in iMa?
-
Cheaters .... Can you do something for that ?

You're using the exploit panel? -
Great sig - I think I'll use it

I think this thread is being somewhat overshadowed by the "other" thread In essence this is a good idea, but you shouldn't go against the EULA to do it. Maybe you should save your efforts for Blue?
-
What I find amusing is that by doing this, KFC are encouraging other people to break the EULA. Also, according to the server rules, not modifying anything is considered cheating. Ironic, really.

I Agree What do you think would happen if everyone who agreed with that statement did a post like that? It doesn't contribute anything to the discussion - no one cares if you agree or not. You said you changed, but you're still posting rubbish. -------------------- It is true that MTA is having a little bit of a low period. In my opinion this is because the gameplay has become unbalanced. In 0.3 players mainly chose Robber or Mexican and they were fairly equally matched. In 0.4 people mainly choose Robber only. This is what is called the dominant strategy - when one choice beats all others. Having a dominant strategy is boring and goes against the spirit of the Grand Theft Auto gameplay. It's funny actually - in my Game Design module at university, we had a tutorial on gameplay and we discussed games that had good and bad gameplay. Vice City was praised as having very balanced gameplay and MTA was mentioned as having bad gameplay for this very reason. 0.3 may have also had unbalanced gameplay, but at least it was a little more balanced than 0.4. Having 2 dominant choices is much better than having only one. That's why FMJ has had a 0.3 server set up - it's just more fun.

The only people who will have a copy are me, Oli, and noog (Simon) as far as I know.
-
People are talking about 2 different auto-aims: 1. The one you can see when you choose classic controls. 2. The one you can't see that happens automatically in the game. The best way to see number 2 is to get the hunter and shoot at someone with the machine gun - you will see the bullets visibly aiming at them.

GRS makes local stats any way. I think you'll have to use a separate command to see your global stats - something like !globalstats. So you'll still have the stats available for your server. As Oli said, the server will not be released. It's programmed in Java so it would run on any computer with a fairly recent Java Virtual Machine, including Unix. In fact, I think it will be running on a Linux system. The fact that it's Java would also make it fairly easy to reverse engineer, which is another reason not to release it.

Stunters Read - Your chance to contribute.
DominionSpy replied to Si|ent's topic in General MTA discussion
There's a mod like that for the single player game. I think a fair number of people used it in MTA:VC 0.3 Stunt (obviously illegally or whatever you want to call it). You never know, the MTA might be putting that into 0.4.5. -
I think the answer is in the question (or rather the title).

Unfotunately the person who made the first post (MrBump) is not around at the moment to change it. If any moderater sees this, could you change the title by taking out the 'has begun!' part? Thanks -

There a couple of peices of news from Turfwars. The first is that Rebel and I have temporarily been given responsibility for the Turfwars. Since this has happened, we have been working on some new rules which will hopefully be simpler and more flexible, helping to reinvigorate the competition. The proposed rules have been posted in the Turfwars forum (here), so anybody interested in the competition is welcome to post some feedback. We are hoping to get matches going again over the holiday season, and we'll be coming up with ways to gain interest. Be seeing you
