MTA TEAM, I think got the solution to get rid of Trainer!!!!
Kent747 replied to a topic in General MTA:VC
we are doing a different method for our version just wait and see but the method you mention does not protect against newer trainers, or slightly modified existing trainers... Kent -
i got the same error... and was too jaded to try to fix it
-
there isn't much we can do about this right now.. We haven't looked into making them shoot farther, and as of know we aren't sure if thats possible... But look at it this way. everybody has the same disadvantage/advantage... just gotta be more agressive Kent
-
actually they need to delete the filter all together once we release 0.3.5 because the same server will be used for both games
-
replaying replays inside of MTA will destroy your sync... don't do it.
-
we will release 0.3.5 eventually give us time
-
try patching to 1.1

OpenGL will always beat D3D 1. Its supported on almost all operating systems... Try finding DirectX on linux.. 2. You don't have to update your version of OpenGL to work with the newest games.. This is because you can use chipset dependant extensions (right from the GPU that do not require certain software to be installed 3. if done properly its faster... (see reason 2) 4. John Carmack likes opengl more than D3D.. (look at every engine since q2..) John carmack drives the gaming industry...

even having a different port is enough... think about it 2 people behind one ip the server would see (for example) 12.54.xx.xx:2315 and 12.54.xx.xx:3214 2 different ports, is enough to direct traffic... as the router will receive responses on the different ports and route back correctly
-
umm a router IS a firewall... hence having to forward ports to get things to work...
-
if i see this again you will be banned Kent grr i can't lock on this forum... lol one ofyou mods do it... but i want some status lol!!
-
I haven't heard of this method.. however what we can assume is that if 2 people are connecting to the same ip.. then the port being used by the router, must be different (as to route back to each person on the lan) As such we can just be really careful with how the client views the sockets and the different clients connected so there is no confusion. allowing this feature was something we just didn't want to worry about troubleshooting so early in development. (we just wanted the freaking thing to work first) Kent

make sure you are using the multitheftauto filter not GTA3MTA Kent
-
make sure that you still ahve your original american.gxt in the Text folder and the main.scm in the data folder... those are the only files mta adds.. and really shouldn't interfere with VC sp.. because we point the exe to our files at runtime (without altering any existing files) if that still doesn't continue to work reinstalll... but i doubt MTA did that
-
ok cheaters ip's who are posted here are restricted only to the blatant abusers.. those who flood the chat purposefully and maliciously and those who are blatant with their unfair tactics. those being - purposefully crashing other's games - obvious uses of hacks which - exhibit use of weapons not included in the .scm file - movements not possible without some sort of hack (flying car/peds etc) - obvious health hacking (use this sparingly as gunfire is still not 100% guaranteed to register as a hit on both sides) Please be very restrictive with your posts in this thread or i will ahve to remove it. Kent
-
i'll make it sticky
-
all melee weapons should be synced... but lag makes it very hard to accomplish a kill this way.. I know for a fact the chainsaw is synced... but i dunno if its in the .scm file... most the people i found using it were cheaters lol Kent
-
movie is ok.... sound guy botched it up though nice stunts though
-
that would be pretty sweet to get some more publicity thoguh
-
at this point we are probably going to use 2 seperate buttons 1 to jack, another to enter as passenger
-
not many... VC 0.1 is lightyears beyond 0.3b
-
it works better on a lan of course p.s. why not put all 3 questions in 1 thread...
-
To the developers: Some suggestions agains shaking people.
Kent747 replied to skit3000's topic in General MTA discussion
the radar blips are calculated according to the position data received.... doing anything like that would kill the radar. -
via the print screen button on your keyboard

no, ase resolves the ip when the server intiializes (the server sends a packet to ASE telling it taht its a public server).... its something with your port forwarding... I have often not seen my own server on ASE, but still had people connect, your server may just not be as popular as others
