Ok. First of all most of your questions ARE answered in the MTA documentation. But , I try to answer some of the other stuff for you... People getting back their health and dropping weapons at funny times etc is most likely the game going out of sync with each other (seach for sync) as for the cars in the water...That's cheating. Well it's a map mod where some people change the map on their side so try can go and do stupid things. Search the forums for the maps. There are maps showing you the locations of all the weapons etc. ghost mode = VC built in replay mode. But there is NO spectator mode. Update to 1.1

Not much. I've had it running (with little testing) on a Celeron 366 with 384MB ram. With a crap motherboard and an old 3400rmp 4 Gig haddrive. Oh yeah and it was running Windows 98! The computer only has to handle the data the clients send and relay those messages to other clients. So it looks like it will run on almost any machine. The only thing I'm not sure about, is how well it runs with lots of people connected. But a little bit of testing will tell you pretty quickly...

The only problem I've got with that tool so far is the CAPS LOCK WARNING! IT SEEMS THAT IF YOU SAY EVEN 1 WORD IN CAPS YOU CAN GET KICKED!!! I realise it works on percentages of CAPS compared to lowercase. but shouldn't it be over a particular amount of time rather than one sentence? I had to laugh earlier today when someone went: "AHAHAH" and got kicked. they weren't being dicks either. In fact it was the first thing this person said since it got onto that server!!! as for the swearing... Leave F*ck in the game. as it's in the Oxford dictionary and commonly used on news broadcasts. This file comes from the Mircosoft Visual Studio's Visual C ++ 6 package. [M]ircooft[V]isual[C][P]lusplus[6].[0].dll It's needed by MTA to work because (are far is I understand) it's programmed in Visual C ++ download the microsoft visual studio runtimes from Microsoft or search google for "MSVCP60.dll download" it will be there somewhere, and put it in your c:\winnt\system32 directory. BUT! Those files shouldn't be missing in the first place as far as I know... Once you've got this file installed you may find another file missing. Just keep trying to download them through google or something... EDIT: and i didn't read the last line of that post or did you edit while I was typing? Stupid me. Good you got it going!

Play single player VC instead of multiplayer (with your trainer)... or... last but not least! 3. Turn off your computer and go outside... OK Here's the deal. I just got home from work and tested the server for ya. It seems to work fine on 98. Only could connect with one client tho because I only have 2 computers at home... So you should be sweet it you wan't to run the server on 98...

use the search option and look for port fowarding. At a guess you're school's LAN is behind a firewall. Or talk to your network administrator. I'm not going to explain port forwarding as HEAPS of topics have been posted regarding this... May I suggest to stop playing games at school and pay attention to your English teacher...(Read your own post and find you why)

That doesn't make any gramatical sense... But I think what he's trying to say is: The differences between 98 and 2k is big. I recon DgtaDude should find someone with 98 (I believe there's millions around the world) and install the server and see if it works if he want's to know before he goes and spends his money... Tell you what, I'll install the server on my 98 machine at home and check for you if you want... I mean hey it'll only take like 2 mins to find the answer.
