1 island = more cars grouped, more weapon pickups grouped, and more action. It would be much harder to get these things if all 3 islands were open. Its like sacrificing land for resources, but at least you can still choose all the lands.

I talked to DeathB and he liked my new idea... so I guess that means you people can have a little faith in this idea. So with that said.. I'm locking this thread. The 40 page rule must stand for now however, until we (hopefully) change the system.

Evem though it is a big risk for me to leave open announcements like that, I feel it much fairer to allow voicing of opinions, I mean mods are more and more representing people, so I shouldn't just silence them if they are pissed. I apologize for my unprofessional outburst, but maybe you can understand my anger. I know we can't enforce in a good way unless there are basic changes (which I have outlined in the mod forum, if they kick off, rest assured it has nothing to do with silencing the gang forums). Also, I have not deleted ANY posts here. Just to make that clear. I'm not trying to silence any voice against my first post. I'm sorry DeathB, that our ideas are not going to be the same, but for the gang forums, this system is not working. If we make a few changes (and mind you we're not trying to harm the gang forums), I think we can moderate it much better.

DeathB you talk about what you don't know. Even though I have posted ideas it was the help of the other mods that got them through. You don't know this.. why? Because you can't see stuff, it goes on behind closed doors. A few months ago this forum was dead and I was the first to come back and say 'time to fix things' and then came all the gangwars moderation, deletion warning, etc. The nazi thing I only said because I am speaking this myself without the other mods consent. I bet some agree, but I'm sure some don't. But this is how I feel. because I know you or some other gang leader was gonna come in here and declare this bs and say 'okay im leavin everyone come with me comeon'. I mean comeon deathb its just a damn forum. I don't get a rush out of this, its work. I am pissed off that noone wants to respect us no matter what we do, besides leaving you guys totally alone. This isn't anything fun for me. If you think I am really trying to be almighty ruler then you yourself still think this is WAY more than just a forum. You try to declare me nazi even though I just offered to give in my power? Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Like I said deathb, this forum is a PAIN IN THE ASS. There have been more than 10 posts a day thats for sure, but a lot of them are spam... including lots from your beloved Bradey (image on previous page), but we cant ban/nuke so don't tell me I'm supposed to keep deleting it just so he can post more, I'm sick of it. Nobody is saying "okay clean my gang thread" so I guess we are forced to say 40 page rule. WHY? Well thats basically what it was coming down to with the other system, we had to decide at 40 pages, but the way most threads seem to be going, its not gonna be a yes/no thing, its gonna be just NO. So you would get pissed off LATER rather than NOW. Which to you prefer? This takes the heat off our backs because we don't want to have to say no and piss you guys off like that.

Tell me whos going to do that? Whos going to skim endlessly through pages of shit... nobody. So thats not going to happen. I did the job for a long time and I'm so tired of it I could puke. I can't tell you WHY we are very short on ban/postnuke powers... but hopefully all mods will get them and we can enforce gang section strictly. Maybe this is me venting anger... but I believe this is the only thing thats actually working around gang forums. Our system now isnt getting accepted very well. Contact the mods is a great thing.. but it apparently wasnt meant for gang forums.

Trust me, we are on the edge of a huge change for gang forums. We may just do something of that sort.

It appears it is for the best, that the gang threads be DELETED after 40 pages. This way you don't have to put up with us unless something bads happening in your thread or you ask us to clean shit out. If you don't contact us about spam in your thread then thats just all the faster the 40 page deletion is coming. The slight change in heart came after MrBill helped me realize that this isn't working. There have been no PMs from gangs saying "clean my thread". Too many people cling to the ignorance excuse. I have sucked up to the major gangs for TOO long. Now I say to hell with it, if you want to LEAVE THESE FORUMS... then good riddance. Your leaving-to-harm-the-community threat is no longer valid to me. The top 3 gangs or so are usually corrupt anyways sorry to say (don't even try to argue with me on this one or you will be sorry). Gangs section is way too much bullshit for us to deal with so lightly anymore. It must be enforced this way. When more of us get ban/post count nuke power, then maybe some of these dumb spammers will realize they can't spam anymore. NOTE: This is not a nazi power run. I say "I" instead of "We" because I have been the one trying to fix the damn gang threads so much lately, the other mods agreed to the past actions, but this time, this one is my own response, I know some mods will agree.

Well yes it helps the people who aren't pro at avoiding vehicles (it can be hard as they can usually at least touch you if you dont jump perfectly). Also it helps shotgun fights from being so dull I think. Its also like a mercy thing if you fall down because sometimes hitting the button while down makes your laying down character float up for a second like a jump, so the shot may miss. It feels like an anti-shoot-when-I-get-up sort of thing.

Uninstall/reinstall mta/gta to make sure its not somethin weird... make sure you got the... oh hell I'll say it Make sure you got the crack overwriting the original exe. Then make sure you have the right version selected. You should look at where you downloaded it to tell. I think you need to install v1.1 before you put a 1.1 crack in.

You guys can keep voting or whatever.. but trx has already looked over things and said he is approaching it a different way, in short: this is not going to become a reality. I can't tell you what hes planning on... I don't even know exactly how he's doing it. I will say its different than the current spawn system though. Like I said before, lets just hope his mindset is the same as ours. And with that... I unstickyed this topic. Who knows though, maybe the idea wont work and this will be brought up again someday (probably not with only a release of blue coming though).

Many a time will people try to fix something instead of just starting it fresh again... I don't know why. It seems like too much work, but its even more work to make a forums post and try to figure out whats wrong for days. Not saying this applies to this topic poster, but many a person with oddball problems.

It should be changed... I did it myself. Now everyone shutup, stop flaming. On the subject... are you sure you don't have anything like an internet explorer window open? Maybe IRC? I would suggest closing everything thats not absolutely necessary to your computer to make sure MTA is not the problem itself.

Yes I have had it sometimes from that. Same thing can happen with MTA. I will accidently click start when I'm tryin to use arrow keys or somethin and then.. damn its stuck

Both of which were in #mta waiting for release. I think the general thoughts were... "Hey instead of just kicking them and let the proxy their way back in... and then call their little script kiddie buddies to mess up one of the most important IRC days, lets just leave them alone as they can't be kept out anyways."

I had considered it alot, but for the VCC, since they are considered the weakest of spawns, they should get what they stand for, freedom of movement. So thats why I decided it should be put on both islands. One of the robber spawns is RIGHT as the base of the bridge though, its only a walking distance away. This allows robber to stay close, but the VCC has a better spawn area. The spawn wars would not happen most of the time with this layout. As I said I also want to push for a helicopter on that island, because it would help the whole freedom deal (plus people hate the reduction of helicopters). Starfish island is all set for the VCC spawn. EDIT: I tried changing things, but it leaves a big hole in the Northeast thats hard to patch. I need to think of something that can go over there if the robber spawn is moved. I did add a VCC spawn to the fort baxter base as there is already some vehicles there.

Well when he says American idiot.. well what do you expect me to say? I hate his songs? Well that would just prove I think I'm an idiot. I'm not in the category of the typical overweight American that regularly makes stupid choices, doesn't care about environment, other countries, and is a whiney rich ****. I dont see much point to it either besides playing for money, and that idea basically has been put aside now with all the fun house cars and all the cheap money making schemes. To pull off those amazing stunts, I think servers should be fogless. You need vision! I would even go as far as getting rid of rain too as it just limits your stunting ability. I can live with rain but I think the fog is just pointless.

Well this is more of a matter of map usage to me. I am getting tired of the same battle grounds over and over again while almost 1/2 of Vice City lies dead 75% of the time. This would stop spawn wars which helps balancing, which is also a big goal, but I really am aiming to use more of the map as the first priority. First we'll see how this turns out, then turn the attention to another topic where we can debate some weapon changes.
