  1. It is a very nice mod. I played a version a while back but the events just didnt seem to trigger once i got to the army base. Is that solved yet? I do love a good zombie fight.
  2. I'm looking forward to seeing what mod teams will be able to churn out. I have heard a few really good ideas/mod plans coming from varius community members. GTA games never really got their fair share of major mods released simply because single player games dont get as many as multiplayer. Once Blue is out, there is gonna a flood of creativity. I can barely wait.
  3. and thats the kind of constructive positive thinking this world needs. the more I read stuff like in this forum, the more I hope the mta team doesnt visit.

    I remember bugging them about the "dead skunk in the trunk" car in gta3. That would have been fun to drive. sure the car is slow and handles poorly, but It's got a body in it!
  5. if you use a nade, they don't all blow up at once, much cooler than bigbang IMO.
  6. sounds good. I used the spawner built into the "GTA: Liberty City" to spawn about 20 bikes in a contained area, threw a grenade on the pile, then watched the spectacular fireworks. Now we can do it in Vice city too where does it spawn the bike? right next to the player, or on the road?
  7. its definitly a nice idea, and from other single playewr mopds it's been proven that it's possible to trigger thing like dancing, sitting down, pulling out a cell phone, flipping someone off, handing something from a pocket, etc.. The mta team did state that they are getting the animations synced almost as good as single player in blue. I suppose we will have to wait and see if these "extra" animations are included in that statement. (unless someone in the MTA team descends from the heavens to enlighten us)
  8. the problem with a speed kicker is that lag can cause cars to appear moving faster than normal in short bursts. I remember early scripts that attempted this caused more problems than they solved (one i remember didn't take respawning into consideration)
  9. "istilllikedressingup" - keep typing this in in single player till you get an army guy (its random) but that does us no good in mta /me dreams of being able to choose any ped model in the game he wants in mta /me wakes up
  10. show them what you have to offer, If they are interested they will probably seek you out. the reason there isn't a lot of info about joining the mta team is they don't wanna be bombarded with applications from wannabes, but don't let it discourage you if you have sosmething to offer. Obviously they are very serious about who they let see their code (for good reason).
  11. getting a point for killing someone while they are in a car by blowing it up shouldn't be something that has to be added by a blue modder IMO, That is something that should be implemented already. I assumed that there was a reason that this wasn't already done.

  17. i feel for you HPB's, I really do. but sometimes people come into a server with a 900 ping, and even on dialup it should be better than that. over 500 ping is pretty useless as far as gameplay goes. You just don't get the proper MTA experience. Hopefully broadband will be available everywhere within a few years.
  18. very very nice. Lot's of people talked about doing this, but you actually put your money where your mouth is 1 small thing: those ingame images appear slightly stretched vertically
  19. when I was making my MTA comics i pressed f12 so many times. I am glad it saved in bmp format to maintain the detail levels, but man did it take up a lot of space. (4 gigs at one point) I think there is an issue with other picture file types and paying royalties for using the standard format. (can anyone verify this?) and the system resources it would take to encode the picture might not help things either.

I was talking to an aussie about this a while back, replacing the exe with an american one solves all censoring issues. the hooker models weren't removed, or the animation of them bending down in front of a car. just the code is changed. I doubt that the regional option effects gta, but it couldn't hurt.

    vck is gonna stay ":VCK", we were vck even when it was just gta3, so I see no reason to change it. but we should see a lot less new gangs starting with "vc" in the future.

    My god.... do you really think your the first person to notice these features missing? like no-one thought of adding drivebys till you came along. 1- all of these "suggestions" have been discussed hundreds of times, and you would know that if you bothered searching. 2- mta does not have all the features of single player because IT'S A BETA 3- the rpg features like !cash and !teams is not part of mta in the first place, that is an addon. 4- locked due to there being not 1 suggestion here applicable or not discussed elsewhere
  24. i had a problem once with green lines all over my screen. i rolled back my video drivers to an earlier version and the problem stopped, but I didn't want to keep them a lesser version. what it took in the end was I had to take my video card out and put it back in and the problem stopped even with the newest ati drivers.
