  2. VCK has too many people to gather us all for 1 screenie, but i have gotten a few group shots over the years heres some of us in our mansion I'm the one with no tag (thank you camhack)
  3. indeed, besides that it is perfect. the same awesome map, with some improvements (rooftops and cols) now they should work on improving the map even more , like a big indoor area near the docks. (to me it seems like rockstar was thinking about making the building have indoor, because of it's size and the varios features outside it) or make the interior for that restaurant now that we know how it looks from that missions in san andreas.
  4. is been a while since i played this mod, it now has al the sp missions in it, realy cool! GTA3 had the best designed map i think, sure its smallest, but so well thought out that it's scary.There will be a demand for true online GTA3 IMO Though, cause of 1 thing: the dodo. -No one i have taked to has been able to successfully recreate it in the vc engine. The current GTA3 release of mta Is incredible, but most people dont know how good it is this release (.5) SSV has mini-missions!
  5. thtas great to hear about the jet fihting , no one said that before, your right. The question of will there be any on foot sync is something i would like to find out too. I uess you arent putting onfoot gunfighting in, but what about just walking or even simply punching?
  6. Just found some old screenies of some pics i thought were cool. I was trying to update my ATI drivers and was having various issues. perhaps i stumbled onto a way of seeing past t he MTA reality, and i discovered that Liberty city isn't real like we all beleive, but only a simulation on a computer! WAKE UP PEOPLE, THE MTARIX HAS YOU!
  7. if you look how ase & mta works now, theres already 2 catagories: map, and Game. Those can probably be changed depending on the MTA mod
  8. silenthill: thats a reat texture you used there, pretty ominous. we discussed doing the same thing for our mod, but we realized that the deathstar never went near tatooine.

I am planning on taking some sounds straight from the movie itself. that cannot be avoided, as making an accurate lightaber sound from scratch is more troube than it's worth. starwars sounds are recognizale , and a cheesy fan-made sound woudn't cut it. people woud sunconsously realize it was off.
  12. i imagine lots of people will plan mods. *COUGH*MTASW*COUGH* I'm more worried about too many mods than not enough. I know many people with lots of great ideas as it is.
  13. i said we arent ripping off the games .the music is available in lots of places. (such as movie soundtrack cds, etc)

  15. i wouldnt really call it expanding. although it is nice to see the 2 groups merge even closer. a lot of the mta community and the gtanetwork community are the same people. (some of you know about the friction gtaf has had for mta in the past however )

  17. we are spending a lot of effort avoiding that. we are not going to rip a single texture, model, or even sound from another starwars game. We don't want any jedi lawyers coming down on us. alll our game content will be original. but yes, that woud be sooo much easier. too bad.
  18. im also not so interested in sa mutiplayer as i am in vice and gta3. they are good games that really deserved to be multiplayer in the first place. It's not so much that its just going to be a racing mod thats supposed to "tide us over till the next release" that bugs me, but the fact that it SEEMS that its a racing mod INSTEAD OF .5.5. No good staunton island? no fixed vc crusader? (the crusader bug merited an immediate patch btw) of course, as far as i know .5.5 might still happen, no one has publicly said one way or the other as far as i know.

  22. just to keep the peope informed about whats been happening the last few days: i have mastered the art of uvmapping, and have so far texture 5 of the roughly 20 buildings in the town centre mode. john has been working pretty hard at various things, and a few members are currently on vacation. overall this mod is realy progressing at a good pace. I want to show you guys what we've done so far, but It's best that we assemble it first. perhaps a video in the future. incase anyone doesnt know, WE HAVE FORUMS, so sign up and post comments/ideas
  23. you mean like the locked out smoke grenades that already exist in vc? i remember some cheaters were throwing them in an early mta release, choking everyones pc. the smoke grenades worked, but the stess it puts on apc makes it unusable to almost every system.

    anyone remember that mod that wasnt finished called bystander? i was really looking forward to blending into a crowd of npc's and playing a game of cat and mouse. it's not likely to happen in gta though
