indeed. it's hard to beleive that some people still think dodo stunt flying is a myth. dodos are gret bcause it takes time to master them and takes skill.i enjoy having something that people have to work at to enjoy, it gives people a goal, and its a lot of fun to take people for rides and wach their reactions.

the problem is they need someone to help them with that. if you know how, why don't you volunteer. i noticed how unhelpful gtaforums can be when trying to recruit programmers. we were looking for some modeller help for MTASW and the topic was locked. either the mods really hated starwars, they didn't like the mtasw team members, or they just plain don't like people asking for help with their mod.

honestly, there are many great clans out there, i reccomend you decide which one to join AFTER actually meeting a few in person ingame. The major factor is will you get along with the current members or not. Get the game, play in the servers, then decide if you want to join a clan and which one. your problem may stem from the beginning part of the dir. "%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" actually would be "c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" for most people. hope that helps.

actually, because it is writing the movie file on the fly, it has a lot to do wit h cpu and hard drive speed. of course gpu and ather stuff effect it too. i noticed a significant difference when i started putting my movie files onto a 200 gig SATA hard disk rather than my crusty old 6 gig spare ide hard drive

ah the drama. 1: could you imagine how risky it would be to put a backdoor on all mta servers? not only legal ramifications, but also the risk of some hacker finding it. no, mta guys are much smarter than that. 2: this "heinous crime" oli commited was a simple kick. you jump to conclusions, wave accusations around, and neglected to actually look into it yourself. a much bettter response would have been to investigate for about 10 seconds, realize that you don't want oli as an admin, remove it, then be done with it. /me sits back and watches some more

(that and researching) irc is a type of chat where there are chat channels and everyone sits in a large window together, rather than like an instant messenger program where you only talk to people you choose. it's a nice simple app that hasn't really changed much over the years. its odd how you equate not caring about the community with not releasing an update for this easily fixed problem. do you honestly think you can pressure them into releasing a new mta simply by stating that they must hate us if they don't? just adjust yer host file and stop trying to manipulate people smarter than you, yer not good at it.

there is no limit to the height you place objects, but if you go above the sky limit then you will experience a constant push downward till you go back down below. so dont expect to hit many good jumps if yer above the limit. so yes you can place objects up high, but there are drawbacks.

is gta:LVS still active? their site is down, and last i heard they couldnt figure out how to add objects over the ocean (which the mta guys seemed to have accomplished quite speedily)

I think that syncing radio stations is definitly a neat idea... in theory if that was done, half the chatting ingame would be argueing over the radio station. perhaps the best compromise would be have it as a personal option to sync with the driver or not. as far as streaming eachothers mp3s over the mp3 station, that would raise too many legal and bandwidth issues.

the particles in sa handle much much better, so it doesnt slow down as bad. but a single gas grenade in vc choked any system
