what kind of gaming mag can't tell the difference between san andreas and gta3? in any event, It's great that mta got some more coverage, even if it was their outreach program intern that wrote it. I wonder, does any of the mta team cut out and keep copies of those articles?

i would like to see super powers like webswinging, flight, laser vision, super -bus-picking-up strength,....(/me is a comic geek) but a serious request would be the ability to jump and shoot at the same freaking time damnit!

i haven't given up on it at all with all the stuff we already made, we could release a small city block of tatooine already, not to mention a few weapons, almost 2 dozen characters, and a couple of vehicles. But who would want just a tiny section of tatooine in miami? We are gonna go all the way! the project slowed down for a while because -we had a lot of steam at first (just like any project) -we realized that there wasn't much of a deadline (blue for vc is a way's off) however, if anyone at all is looking to throw their hat in, we could certainly use some more TALENTED people. Johnline had worked his butt off with the modeling, and we had several others doing models as well, I went through the trouble of learning how to skin in zmod, but we could certainly use a programmer, more modellers, more artists, more anything. Anyone experienced in modelling vehicles or player models would be especcially appreciated.

you'll find that we gta3:mta players are still rocking the partyserver almost every night. there is still a large group of us playing gta3 cause it's simply the most fun, most advanced mta gameplay. mini-missions, character select AND gun select, money system, paynsprays...need i go on?

i don't think you read what we are talking about. are you talking about the smoke grenades? the reason they were pulled was because it was a lag-bomb more than anything else. look at a smokebomb on anything than a high-end supercomputer and you'll get the worst fps youve ever seen. anyhow, lets try to stay on topic.

yup, its a groovy bug that comes up rarely. I never expected to see it in san andreas.

hit ctrl-alt-del and see if you have another copy of mta running that you might not see, after you close thiose down then run mta. also before you ask, you need the 1.1 version of gta3.exe or it won't work so go get the patch.

i thought san andreas ONLY came out on dvd. And yes, you need a dvd drive, without one you cant use it. DVD roms are super-cheap these day, go to a pc store and get a 2nd hand dvd player for 20 buck, or even a combo for 30. Watching dvds on your pc is great, but soon a lot more games are going to be released on dvd cause it makes a lot more sense than swapping around 4 disks to install/play a game.
