  2. The colour bug is most likely to do with your MFC shared DLL's.. and the fact 0.5 was compiled on MSVS 6.. which sometimes doesnt work quite right . try getting the latest MFC dll's and see what happens
  3. Huge shame for someone to die at such an age. I never personally got on with wheelman, but im very sorry to hear about this. My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones. RIP.

    From what I can gather, the hacker re-named himself with the Admins name, this seemed to be all he needed to do to get control of the admin powers. There may have been more to it than that, But I can only say what I saw. Just renaming yourself as the admin's name wouldnt log you into rcon admin, you would still need to use the rcon_login command and know the password for that name.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys. I am going to be working on Race Admin for 1.2 this week, so will be using this thread to a certain extent, although i dont promise any of it will be in the release I am also considering making the admin connections in the Race Mod TCP instead of UDP, as there arn't a great deal of packets sent and TCP is reliable, so this would fix a few issues already appearing in the admin system. I will probably post a blog post sometime this week giving more details once i've done some work on this. Oli

    MTAVC 0.5.1

    We arn't going to be working on MTA 0.5.1 im afraid. The code is seriously outdated and we havnt got enough people to spare to work on it. As far as i'm aware kyeman used to code on the blue project, but i think all his code has been removed since he was on the MTA Team as blue has been rewritten a couple of times since then.

  9. We're working on deathmatch right now (ive just spent about 10 hours working on it ) We will have some interesting updates for it soon
  10. The server send 2400 packets in 1 second. I can't help it you lose some. :> Ill make a more reliable way of the server sending the race list to admin in the next release /me slaps UDP

  12. I have been being bombarded with suggestions for the admin system in MTA:SA, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of them all. So, I am going to make this thread for anyone to post suggestions for the admin system in the Race mod. Please do refrain from posting the same suggestion twice, and please check the thread to see if what you are suggesting has already been posted. I have already noted the following features which should make it into the next version of the Race mod: - ability to msg admin's from ingame - admin to admin protocol These would have been in the R1.1 release, but as my MTA hard drive died I did not have time to implement them Please also note that I do not guarentee that ANY of these suggestions will actually make it to release, this is simply an information gathering process for me to make the admin system as good as possible for the community. Well, been a while since my last update as i've been working a lot on deathmatch and my PC died a couple of weeks ago so it's taken me a while to get everything back up and running normally again However, I am now back on the ball and have spent some time working on the Admin system for the next Race Mod release. I've decided to include a few new features that various people have requested and made some tweaks here and there. First of all I'll list some of the new features (this isn't final yet and there will likely be a couple more things added before release): - Admin's can now send PM's to players (these are also sent to all other admins). You can also just PM directly to the console ingame, without having to display things in the chat. - Ping's are now sent to Admin, so it will be possible to make a ping kicking script using MTA:mA. - Notification is now sent when players finish races (I will most likely also be sending when players respawn and when a race "ends" aswell, but this has not been done yet). - There are a few more rcon commands for ingame admins, mainly to match what the Remote Admin features (ie: rcon unban). These are just a few of the things I have done to the admin system, there have been a few small tweaks here and there too (ie /me is now supported from admin and console) and I have fixed a few crashes in the Remote Admin client. Do also note that due to the 255 map limit on the server being removed in v1.1, the admin netcode has drastically changed for races, and there have been a few other changes around the netcode. I will release a new version of the netcode documentation on the wiki when v1.1 is out. That's all i've got to say for now I think as it's around 4am and i need my sleep Oli

  18. i had this prob too with the 1.03 server, we're planning on releasing a new server soon, so ill recompile the server exe so it works

  20. lol tommis, i wouldnt get paranoid about stuff like that, ive not worked on GRS for months, I simply dont have the time to work on addons to MTA any more, so im as happy as anyone that people are taking initiative and developing tools for general use
  21. The new MTA:SA server v1.05 which is released soon will have some updates btw, it now sends when players finish races and player pings, so u might want to update this when its released. Nice work btw
