I never added that code. The person who helped me with this DLL was actually in the room with me. Its entirely possible for him to have added this. I can see no one believes me here.. so what do u suggest i do about it?

Jani, I have said what happened, believe it or don't, I am really ashamed that this was part of my product. You can think what you want i guess. (I had the sgb pass legitimately from ages ago btw).

If you are a user of MTA:mA:GRS I high recommend you update it now. Due to a lack of observation on my part, someone who wrote part of the "mtama.dll" source code has managed to add a part which seems to email the admin details of the server you are connecting to to a "[email protected]" account. I have removed this from the latest version (4.14) and am contacting gmail to have that email address removed, as well as contacting the person responsible (im not sure what kind of action i can take against him at this time - and this was about a year ago so im having trouble conacting this guy). I cannot apologise enough for this, a huge mistake on my part for not seeing it before.

ok, im not sure if the dll did email that information out, but i have removed everything in it to do with that. PLEASE CAN EVERYONE WHO USES GRS UPDATE IT NOW DUE TO THIS SECURITY ISSUE. The autoupdater should warn you about this. I would also like to apologise to all those who have used GRS over the past months. I didn't fully read the source code to that dll and i should have. Terribly sorry about this. I suggest ALL SERVERS WHO HAVE USED GRS CHANGE THEIR PASSWORD NOW!!! Thanks to omlette for finding this. Im gonna lock this and make an announcement in the GRS thread about it. I am trying to contact the person who helped with this dll, but it was nearly a year ago and im not having much luck.

im looking into this right now. As i didn't write most of that dll (mtama.dll is in pascal which i dont know, grs.dll is in c++ which i did write) im not sure what the deal is right now, so please bear with me.

Sorry but usually when im given admin on a server i tend to think i can use it.. just the way i look at it.. and its not like i banned everyone from it or anything.. i simply defended myself.. but w/e.. i doubt we'll see eye to eye on this. I wont come on your damn server again then, no probs. cya

sorry this has caused u so much upset damo.. you seem to hate me a lot more than i thought u did. Perhaps if you didnt like the way I handle situations like this when im entrusted to be an admin then you shouldnt make me an admin. This could have all been resolved on msn.. hell i even had it all out with skug and came to a nice conclusion with him before you even posted this. (And btw its nice how u only post the parts of the log which make me look bad.. funny stuff). Tbh think what you will then damo.. i wont come on your precious server again and you can always stop using my scripts system if you dislike me so much. *sigh*

Well it was quite obvious as i also chattted once a couple of times from the admin panel... I really dont think all this is necesary for this though.. ive never had a problem with using admin on any servers before, and i have admin on a lot of servers i dont "own". For now ill simply delete the admin detail i have, and i suggest you change your admin password.

oh yeah and is part of the GRS script which you run. It is one of several secret commands which are only meant to be in an "easter egg" way.

No I admit that that log is correct. What you fail to say is that I have had the admin pass/port to that server for months as you or someone from SGB gave it to me ages ago.. thats why its in my MTA:mA servers list as a server i have admin on... The other point is that I was having a joke with skug, which seems to have gone way way too far as he seems to have bitched at you to make this post or something. I get your point, but i didn't really do anything wrong here apart from kick someone from your server without your explicit permission, which i do apologise for, but it was only in a joking way and was not meant to cause a massive upset. In answer to ure questions above: no there is no exploit to the MTA server, no there is no way of getting on without knowing the admin password and no the MTA Team does not have access to all mta servers admin. Shame you couldnt just ask me about this on msn instead of making a public spectacle out of yourself

It wasnt complete.. there was a nasty desync bug which trx and I couldnt work out how to fix.. and it was very hard to localise whether it was an SCM error or a client error. This couldnt continue once trx left, hence since then no one has really worked on it and we have concentrated soley on blue. Its a shame you people seem to think releaseing a patch for both the server and client is an easy thing.. it actually takes more time than ud think, and right now we are simply too busy with mtasa to dedicate the time to 0.5.x
