  1. Did you try reinstalling? Might be that the file is corrupt or something.
  2. "Load game" and then your savegame? Are you in the San Andreas menu? That would be very weird, since you should see the MTA menu. And you also mention the MTA main menu. But do you see the buttons like "Quick connect" etc?
  3. DD sounds like Draw Distance to me. Anyway, there have been a lot of issues with ATI based graphics cards. Most of the (annoying) issues have been solved in 1.0, so later on you can go back on full draw distance again. (I think)
  4. Don't works. Because it's made for MTA 1.0...
  5. Wrong section. And go to mtaserver.conf.
  6. How about some controls in the main menu like: mta_special_keybind1 mta_special_keybind2 mta_special_keybind3 mta_special_keybind4 mta_special_keybind5 ... And a server can use these? It would be good since there'd be less keybinding conflicts I guess.

  9. I won't, my quote will.
  10. That's indeed your LAN IP. Not your external. But what do you mean by "I need the port for 127.0.0.1;"? Don't you know the port you're using? If I read your MTAserver.conf correctly I read 22005. It that's not what you mean, explain a bit better... I don't understand the heck of what's wrong...
  11. Try connecting to 127.0.0.1? If that works, try LAN IP, if that works, use external IP. If it only doesn't work with external, previous solution still applies. If LAN doesn't work, try switching off windows firewall. If 127.0.0.1 doesn't work, RUN THE SERVER ONLY ONCE...
  12. Let me guess, it doesn't show up on the server list? http://www.portforward.com/ if that's the case. EDIT: It might also be the problem that you're running the server 4x... Try running only 1 server at a time first...
  13. Wait... So what's the problem? Try to explain as good as you can please, because I don't see shit on the pics... (I can barely read the text on it =/)

    Help

And in case Zdenall doesn't know, DM includes Race. It still has some bugs, but should be a bit more fun than in MTA: Race.
  15. For as far as I know this should work: PHP SDK
  16. Personally I wouldn't, but I guess others would. Thanks for the explanation though, although it was pretty short.
  17. Sounds like a pretty basic map to me. 1. Open the resource folder you want to add it to (or create a new one) 2. Add it 3. Now you should have a meta.xml. It should atleast contain this: <meta> <map src="themapnamehere.map"/> </meta> 4. Additionally, you can also add an info tag to the meta.xml. This is a required step if you want to upload it on community.multitheftauto.com. <info author="you ofcourse" version="the version like for instance 1.0.1" name="the name of the resource" description="what does your resource do" type="is this a map, gamemode, script or misc"/> (more info about the meta.xml HERE)
  18. What kind of maps are they? Race? Custom? If you want it to become a race map you don't really need to convert it. If you want it to use for any other gamemode, extra steps depend on what gamemode you're trying to add it. So more information is appreciated.
  19. 2. Learn scripting. 3. Script it when you learned to. 4. Same. 8. Just wait for 1.0, it should have a great editor (as seen in the latest MTA vid) 9. For as far as I know there's no clear scripting command to do it. The only real way would be saving all of the cars data (including damages, color etc) destroying it and creating a new one. You can try to script it though. 10. Script it when you learned to. Here's a little webpage for you to play around with: http://development.mtasa.com/index.php?title=Main_Page
  20. I see your point, but there's one question: If more code would make it harder, wouldn't it be better to start off sooner? (if it might come in) Since with every update there might be yet another piece to be updated, making the job harder and harder. Or well, so it seems to me.

    server

1: Press the freakin link. 2: Open your eyes. 3: Look around the page for the word "Server" and "Manual". 4: Open search if it's too hard or if you're blind. Otherwise, skip to step 6. 5: Type "Server" in search and press next till you find it. 6: Click the link. 7: Wait for the page to load. 8: Read the title to see if you're on the right page. If not, game over! Go back to step 1. 9: Read what you need to know there. 10: Congratulations! You now (should) have successfully made your first server. Next time check a link if someone sends one... -.-'
  22. 1. Remove your current account. (MAKE SURE YOUR SERVER IS OFF (People always seem to forget this...)) 2. Start your server. 3. Start MTA. 4. Join your server. 5. Wait for the loading to be done. 6. Wait for the downloading to be done. 7. Wait until you're ready to do something difficult! 8. Open up the chatbox and type: '/register PASSWORDHERE' 9. Wait until you get a confirmation. 10. Congratulations! You now have successfully made an admin! 10 difficult steps to do the same thing, but how it should work.
  23. How about asking a normal way instead of "answer me please". Even better, how about dang search...
  24. Exactly let's give an example, let's say your in the LSPD radio as you said, by the time you try to report a speeding vehicle that just past by you and by the time you type it all in, he'll be way gone I guess you didn't see that... And still, it isn't a reason to do this over MTA. Fenix already mentioned Vent (short for Ventrillo) which is a VOIP application. You can just force all cops for instance to have that, and then you can just talk over a Police channel. Voila.
