wtf does this thread have to do about anything? we may like you comments on the forums BigJ, but uhhh... what has this got to do with anything? and who are you reffering to, when you say "did you mean?".. you are the author.. im confused

on behalf of linux, they have a windows emulator called WINE. which can run windows games. and Mac OS 10 is based off of unix (same as linux) so i think it will (can?) run windows games. mac is too user friendly, and not powerful-stable. and linux is uber-fast but server oriented. windows is the best imo for home pc.

1) This has already been mentioned. 2) Speed 2 was called "cruise control" since in was an ocean cruise ship 3) Speed was with the bus and the airport 4) iggy: you car-ram idea was also in the other speed post. 5) i would like to see this added to the game.

that is definately a good idea. there is a mod out right now that sets the light according to the time of day.. so they set 12:00am light to all times of day.. so no matter the time, it will be day. they did the say thing for night. so mta would just have to replace a file for all day\all night. also weather would be cool as well. try racing in deep fog.. or CTC in fog. or perhaps DM in rain. ect.

i think it would depend on the gametype. i dont want an admin taking up one of the 32 player spots.

that would be cool as long as it does not change the models. also it should ask you if you want to recieve them.. cause some people wont care. also the game should not be able to start if they are not 100% dl and installed. yes this would be possible, and cool, but its more of a polishing touch, once MTA can'y think of any other important features to add.

Before, i posted something like "The Ultimate Addition" - or something alon those lines. it basically was a Game Mode Editior - you get a map of LC, and can plance spawns, cars, ect.. all the needed game object. anyway i think that it should be open soruce. also: as far as hacks: what kind are we talking about? like for example: "Inf Health" if you had a modded client you could do stuff like that.. a solution would be instead have the server keep track of your health, and if it detects a difference from client then you are expelled from the game. - thats just one idea, im sure its not flawless, but i think that there will always be a way around things. and if they really wanted to hack, its not that hard to get a vb decompilier, and then they'll get the source anyhow.

Just because it says auto does not mean it has to have autos at all. GTA has auto in it, but there is much more than just stealing cars.. most of the missions could be done with out a car. (all tho less fun) plus i think DM is going to be in MTA.03b anyway

I completely agree with TheBigJ. i mean, if MS was never born, that does not mean that Linux or anything else would have been more succesful. DOS became popular because of MS. it could easily have slipped away like old Command Line Atari PC's. but BG realized its potential and bought it. if you went to a flea market, and found GTA VC for PC for $3 you would not give the seller $50 for it. And since Mac was first, we might be using Macs to post on theses forums right now (some of us are) instead of the majority, windows. Of couse, Mac may have never developed anything like PHP and therefore we would have no forums at all. just beacuse you may think there are better alternative to Windows (Linux for example) does not mean you can dis the man responsible for creating the home pc craze in the first place.

it adds a whole island to your gta3. its connect to portland where the fish factory was. it has a build that you can ssave the game in.. the build has a PS2 with vice city and a pc. the rest of the island is custom building or buildings nabbed from other islands. also, hella stairs and ramps and fire escapes have been added to buildings.. it would make a really good multiplayer map if it did not skew up ssv

i want to see ggm and mta both make mods.. 2 are better than one. C++.. .02a is in VB.. are they doin it in C+ now?

i see now. just goto like pages 4+ and they be there. or just run the mod.. its pretty sweet. (i got it working, but it fux up your ssv, so you cannot go to ssv anymore, so just install it on another copy of gta3)

my question is, what internet code do you (mta team) actually use, i mean, mta.exe does all the internet transactions, handles chat, and you dont need internet code to place cars\peds on the street.. so what code would be benificial? and im almost 100% sure that there will be no left over code in vc. also i think mta should continue to work on GTA3:MTA since i like liberty city better than vc. (i like the games equally) and then they should make GTAVC:MTA, after enough hacking has been done to vc.. just like gta3. BTW: CONSOLE POWER!!!!!!!!!!! dont disrespect us, who gave birth to pc games. (all tho i will admit that gta3 is better for PC because of mods.. but xbox is changing that)

in PC GAMER, there was an artical about how Vice City will be on PC.. and it listed GTA3 Mods. It listed: Sky Park, Missliberty, San Angeles, MTA, The Bridge Thingy, Car modding, and somethin else.. i for get now. neway.. they must not have gone to the site recently, since it said that MTA is planning on have eight people per game.. not 32. also it didnt mention GGM. neway, go MTA.
