  1. 7 days until release date, if they have waited to delay the game until now, it would be extremley unprofessional. I'm sure there is not a delay. Why? Because it takes more than a week to make all the game CD's and boxes and ship them to the stores. So they would have know weeks ago they weren't going to make the release date. There is no delay announced, so there will not be a delay. What I can not figure out is that as I stated above, it is 7 days until the release date and there is still no official PC trailer on Rockstars web site. What exactly are they waiting for? And haven't they kind of missed the time frame of useful hype by not posting it yet? I guess there not very kind Devs when it comes to web page updates, they still haven't put in all the car keys in the red box on the flash version for the PS2...
  2. If Rockstar Delays Vice City someone is going to die!!!
  3. On the Vice City website under media they have "-Movies coming soon". When exactly do they plan on putting them up?!?!?! Its only 10 days (or less if you pre-ordered) until the game comes out. Wouldn't it be intelligent to put them out at least a couple weeks before launch so most people will see them??? What the heck are they thinking? And what are they waiting for?!?! http://www.rockstargames.com/vicecity/pc/index.htm
  4. so you are working on the website? and you have a server? I think the idea of standardizing skins is a good idea, at least make everyone have the same symbol. Gangcar would be interesting but the other team won't see it will they? they probably won't see our skins either... have to wait for a better version I guess....
  5. If you truly love GTA you would have a warez version idiot. Why? Because you are taking sales away from a good developer and sending the wrong message. Making it seem like the game is not good by not buying it and lowering the number of total copies sold. Which will reflect how and what projects Rockstar will make in the future. Penny-pincher losers like you hurt great games.
  6. I'm pretty sure not many people will skip the single player forever, its kind of the reason there is multiplayer and the story is great. Second, Rockstar could care less if you skip the single player, just as long as they sell a lot of games and get their due recognition as a great game developer
  7. It was a hands on interview with the Rockstar team. He stated what they were doing. It doesn't say exaclty what the Devs said, but what it does says is that "Rather than just throw something in to sell a few copies Rockstar's challenging themselves to design a multiplayer experience that's as solid as the single player game" I'm sorry, we don't have a transcript or a tape recording of his visit to Rockstar Studios
  8. ps2 versions might be sweet (not even a ps2 can taint the awesomeness of GTA ) but the PC version will ALWAYS be sweeter especially if Vice City PC has Multiplayer built in like this article says
  9. The biggest issue with the wording of this snippet is who is saying what, Rockstar isn't saying anything Directly here: What Steve Butts Said- I discreetly raise the topic: "You guys should totally do multiplayer." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What Steve Butts was thinking -"I know what comes next. They just don't want to do the same old thing and they definitely don't want to incorporate a new idea until they make sure it's solid. Rather than just throw something in to sell a few copies ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What Steve Butts learned from the interview - "Rockstar's challenging themselves to design a multiplayer experience that's as solid as the single player game." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That last part is FACT, just keep reading it over and over again, you will see what I mean. He's saying instead of Rockstar just slapping a hum drum multiplayer in there to sell a couple more copies they are putting a lot of effort into it so it will be the same high quality as the single player.
  10. IGN had hinted at this in a previous article as well. This article is a "hands on article" that came from going to Rockstars office and playing the PC version and talking with them. I think its pretty legit. 17 days my friends, 17 days...
  11. It says it right here though man, he words it in a stupid way, but after reading it like 10 times I understand what he meant to say. Instead of just making a lack-luster multiplayer to sell a few more copies, Rockstar is trying to go the extra mile to make the Multiplayer as good as the Singleplayer for Vice City.
  12. This quote is from an IGN.com article found here http://pc.ign.com/articles/394/394831p1.html?fromint=1 " I discreetly raise the topic: "You guys should totally do multiplayer." I know what comes next. They just don't want to do the same old thing and they definitely don't want to incorporate a new idea until they make sure it's solid. Rather than just throw something in to sell a few copies, Rockstar's challenging themselves to design a multiplayer experience that's as solid as the single player game. -- Steve Butts -ign.com" So what it seems that this guy is saying is that Vice City will have multiplayer. HOORRRAAAYYYYY!!!!!
  13. Why? Its going to be a lot better game. Better graphics, motorcycles, helicopters lots of boats. I don't know why you would want to stick with GTA3 if its possible to make a Multiplayer Mod for Vice City. I hope that .3 will be good enough that they can leave it at that for GTA3 and switch their efforts to Vice City. I really hope R* is already making Vice City multiplayer, I just read on IGN the other day that they haven't officially stated if they will or won't, but they guys at IGN seemed to hint at something... and it seemed to me that it will be what we have all been waiting for Here is the quote: "And the biggest question of all... Multiplayer. No definitive word has been released either way, so we just can't say, even though the office is split fifty-fifty, putting aside the unspeakable inside word some of us have heard." -ign.com http://pc.ign.com/articles/392/392768p4.html I guess that statement could easily go either way.
  14. Oh wow, 4 people, thats crazy stuff..... try 64 simultaneous players on PC games like Battlefield 1942... beat that console hugger. Why don't you go browse the internet on your console if its so great.
  15. Do you Mod Gods have any plans on switching to make a multiplayer Mod for Vice City when it comes out on PC next month? For instance, leaving .3 as the final Multiplayer Mod for GTA3 and switching to the task of making a Multiplayer mod for Vice City. Will you have to evaluate the code to first decide if it is a possible task, given that there most likley will not be any left over Multiplayer code in Vice City making your task harder. I really hope you plan on making a Multiplayer Mod for Vice City. *envisions riding through Vice City on Harley's with his Gang members to a fight with another Gang*
