  1. You have a modified GTA:SA install. Please reinstall and see if using a clean, unmodified install of GTA:SA helps the issue.
  2. Please install the following: Graphics driver Audio driver Chipset drivers Ethernet driver 1 Ethernet driver 2 (do a Repair install if prompted) Provide another MTADiag log after installing. The "Connection Timed Out" dialog should provide an error code. Could you give a screenshot of it?

    MTA Crashes

    Please install the following: Graphics driver Audio driver Chipset drivers Ethernet driver Provide another dxdiag log after installing. Also, please remove the compatibility mode setting on your gta_sa.exe.

  6. Try temporarily removing the D3D9.dll in the GTA:SA directory and see if you still get freezes.
  7. Make sure your volume settings are all maxed out; if they are, perhaps your speakers or headphones are malfunctioning somehow.
  8. Plug your speakers/headphones into the motherboard's green output port and get rid of the ancient SB Live! card. The two driver updates worked properly.
  9. After the error, does the installation continue or exit?
  10. Please install the following: Graphics driver Audio driver Provide another MTADiag log after installing.
  11. Try disabling HydraVision (whatever HydraDM.exe is in the list), as well as whatever D3DOverrider.exe is.
  12. Please download and run MTADiag, follow the instructions, paste its generated log file at PasteBin, then link to that paste here.

    Sorry, I can't do that. Buy a copy from Steam for like $5 or whatever.
  14. How are you connecting to the Internet?
  15. Please try using windowed mode. Go to your Multi Theft Auto installation directory, then open MTA\coreconfig.xml with Notepad. Find 0 and change it to 1. Save and close the file.

    Neither the graphics driver nor the audio driver updated successfully. Please try installing them again. You can test if GTA:SA single player works by launching gta_sa.exe and trying to play the game as normal.

  18. Remove compatibility mode settings on GTA & MTA and see if your issue is resolved.
