  2. The speed difference between single and dual channel memory isn't terribly significant in video games, in my experience. Bottom line is, your system is sufficient for MTA:SA and thus GTA:SA, and quite a few other recent games especially at your moderate resolution of 1600 x 900. If you could install TeamViewer, I can try to see if there's something wrong with Windows' configuration sometime tomorrow if I've got the time.
  3. GDDR5 is considerably faster than GDDR3, but your computer should be capable of running MTA without a problem regardless. Lower resolutions are more CPU limited; higher resolutions are more GPU limited.
  4. Your PC is pretty balanced, I'd say. There are no bottlenecks except the hard drive which is a bottleneck in nearly all PCs.
  5. Sounds like driver sweeper caused some issues, so do a system restore and get USB working first. Also ignore those PC forums, please, we don't need more variables in our attempts to solve your issues. Once you've got things working again, perhaps I can connect to your computer using TeamViewer and see what I can do to fix your graphics driver issue.
  6. I guess reinstall GTA:SA, and use the scripting functions for building removal to prevent this issue in the future.

  11. This is a GTA bug that's exacerbated by having extra MTA objects in view. It's also affected by weather since different weathers have different maximum draw distances. A workaround is to set the draw distance to 90%.

  15. In the timeout box, there should be a code. Please post it. Please download and run MTADiag, follow the instructions, paste its generated log file at PasteBin, then link to that paste here.

    Before doing that, update to the latest nightly. We believe we've fixed the issue.

    Press Start -> type devmgmt.msc -> hit Enter -> expand Display adapters -> right click GeForce 6100 and click Disable, then try running MTA and check if your issue is resolved.

    Thanks for providing the dump file. nVidia released a graphics driver update today. Please download and install it, then re-download and run MTADiag and paste the generated log at PasteBin and link to the paste, I've added a function which will help us diagnose your issue.

MTA's path can be found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas All (if you're running 64-bit, it'd be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas All), in the specific version subkey, value Last Install Location. MTA also keeps GTA's current path in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas All\Common\GTA:SA Path. I believe there is a -serial switch for Multi Theft Auto.exe to output your serial.
  22. As far as we are aware, the network problem was fixed on February 14th. Get a server build from after that date (revision 3852 or later).
