Try setting network encryption to off in the advanced settings tab.

First, you are running an older version of MTA:SA - I suggest downloading 1.1.1 from the main page. See here to add yourself as a server administrator.

That really stumps me. Perhaps you should try reinstalling Windows? I can't think of anything else that could potentially be interfering.

Install the latest patch of MTA:SA - this version should stop the servers from disappearing when they can't be contacted.

You probably hit ctrl + shift + arrow key to rotate the screen, assuming you have an Intel onboard graphics device.

This is a known issue, especially with the Full Theft Auto server - a fix should be made soon. My only advise is to play elsewhere for now until the issue can be fixed. When it does get fixed, I'll post here.

Yes, you can try running the server now. Versions of MTA which use the same icon as my avatar are either an outdated version of MTA:SA which is Race only, or MTA for GTA3 & VC.

AFAIK I had a PCI Express edition of an FX5700. Or maybe my memory is failing on me. You are correct - some later models used an AGP-to-PCIe bridge chip.

OK, everything except the audio and wireless drivers installed - those two didn't likely due to driver incompatibilities with Windows 8.
