I wouldn’t have thought the domain would make this much of a difference but when I enter the forums via mtasa.com, I do get some slight problems. However when I use mtavc.com, not once has anything occurred. Yet the forum URL uses the same link regardless of which site you use - strange nonetheless.

It’s always nice to hear from those who have paved the way. Let’s hope that this community does continue to expand and stay for many more years to come. It’s unreal to imagine that a decade is nearly upon us when 2013 arrives.

If you use the search panel in the top right hand corner using the keyword “tutorials” you might come across with some useful tips. I know in the past fellow players have wrote little tutorials which have certainly helped beginners. Don’t hesitate to post your problems on the forum though. Or, if you have IRC installed, visit the #mta.scripting channel for any help.

I see you are posting the same message on other threads but I don’t think you will get anywhere because most of the threads you have posted in are from users with only 1 or 2 posts - and haven’t came back online since. If you want their maps, go to the community centre and try either typing in their nick or key word from their thread title which was wrote on here - and you might find something.

As one guy has already said, whilst the free versions can have their benefits, it mostly comes down to the complexity. I mean how much are you looking to put into the video in terms of creativity? I always use to have Fraps installed. It’s simple and does the job. It’s been a while since I’ve had it installed so I wouldn’t know if much has changed. The last software I used was made from Corel - Video Editing x4 I think was the name. I did manage to find a free version which was installed for 30 days and to my surprise after the trial - it still continued.

I just saw the video you posted in the other section too - looks impressive.

The whole point of creating a clan is to be imaginative. Whilst people might come up with good suggestions, it’s more fun to come up with one yourself.

VC was still popular this year when we had our little reunion and that was released in 2003. If the ASE didn’t close and 0.5 wasn’t such a mess, it would no doubt still be highly active. Regardless of the time and the situation with IV, MTA has a huge cult following and will still continue to attract many people over the time to come.

There use to be the “Add ons” section to the forum where all the mIRC tutorials were located for help with scripting back in the VC days. I wouldn’t have thought it was removed from the forum, though I could be wrong and it might well and truly be gone. You might find some help with the search panel.

I’d suggest it is possibly a server issue - perhaps the destination of the server is the problem? What is your ping usually like? It might be something to do with your graphic settings. I use to have problems in the past and notice it had something to do with my frame rate.

If you put the features from SA into VC - then my life would have been complete.

Back in the day this side of the forum use to be very popular - now it has certainly piled up quite a lot of dust over the time! It might be more convenient to ask around on the servers if you can’t find any interest on here.
