Are you being sarcastic or do some people actually make a donation to play one a server which they’ve been banned from? If true I suppose more people need realise there is a whole world outside!

As mentioned previously – neither us monitoring the MTA forums or the team can provide any support relating to affairs between the users and servers. All you can do is follow the rules on the server before playing and respect their decisions – if you don’t like it then by all means leave and join another.

I will mention this to the guys with higher privileges on the forum. Generally speaking most of you guys from around that region of the world have very good English – well, judging from the guys I know especially from around there do anyway. However, it also depends on the demand from the users on the forum and not the general playing community.

I think the issue with a lot of the servers is that many of the names are misjudged. Most new players just want to bounce straight in and start shooting left, right and centre – before they know it, there banned. Don’t get me wrong. Some RPG servers can be quite fun but it’s just some of the people running them that are the problem.

I do wonder what ever happened to the servers where you could blow each other’s heads off, instead of being a bunch of daisy’s and playing make belief stories. I thought this was an 18+ game, eh.

These types of threads always devise different opinions, not that this is a bad thing (considering this is a forum), however sometimes people ask for too much. As Arran clearly pointed out the reason for the two modifications is to give gamers a choice upon which product they wish to play. Whilst I’ve personally only played SA-MP for no longer then 10 seconds, I presume there are certain elements which may be better than this, that or the other, though nothing will ever be perfect. I believe someone mentioned about making MTA more popular. I personally don’t know what else can be achieved because MTA has been around for almost a decade. MTA has received multiple recognitions in various magazine articles back in the day because this modification was something unique and the history behind the whole development has been rewarding and praised by many. As for the future? Only time will tell.

As I’ve mentioned before in previous topics I don’t usually come to this side of the forum nowadays, though lately there seems to have been a big increase in development of new game modes. I know there is another thread with someone creating an apocalypse and further more threads with original ideas taken from other games coming into creation. If all progress goes according to your design, you might have a very popular game mode for the future.

If I’m right RACE was released before SA-MP’s DM. I could be wrong however since I don’t follow any other modification development. I suppose in the end people started becoming anxious about any release due to the setbacks on other parts of the project (due to people were generally losing interest in VC and wanted a new era in SA to begin), which was why when people heard of another DM elsewhere, people jumped border.

It seems that nowadays people only want quantity instead of quality. I must be one of these old school gamers that like to only mix with only half a dozen people. I suppose were all different and who am I to judge when technically SA is such a huge map the numbers make complete sense. This whole MTA/SA-MP will always be back and forth because one minute people want one thing and then the next they see something on the other side of the fence so they all jump back. It really depends on the product that is distributed to the whole GTA community. Everyone will have different opinions though personally whilst SA-MP might have the numbers right now in terms of activity, I do believe history speaks for itself that MTA is more of a household name.

3 months without a post in BLASTA? WTF is wrong with you people!?

I’ve only just came across this thread until now. I suppose there will always be two different sides of the story. People will pick the smallest of issues from the impossible and judge an entire strand on something unreasonable. The biggest benefit that the two teams have is that they allow all players to have a choice to which product they want to play. The one thing that makes MTA standout is the history behind the whole story. I remember seeing a thread back in the day received from a technical worker at Rockstar acknowledging the development to the beginning of this great mod (I believe it was sent to Blokker). Now look how far these years have fast forward - were still here going strong. Thousands have left, thousands have continued to join. Nowadays the new generation jump on the bandwagon and don’t realise the history behind the process - to be honest, I don’t blame them, as I’d rather get straight into the action.

Are you acquiring any help in particular with the server or are you just wanting more guys to join? I might drop by. It’s always good to see something new come up now and again.

I rarely come across this side of the forum nowadays though this map in particular looks impressive. I’m quite hooked to these apocalypse games. It looks like bringing Left 4 Dead into San Andreas. If this was to work for the zombie game mode, I’m sure this map would be a big hit.

Check the Known Issues documentation here and go to "Halt after MTA splash screen" AND/OR "Crash after MTA splash screen". If you haven’t done so – prior to installing MTASA a fresh installation of GTASA is always recommended. Don’t worry if what I’ve mentioned doesn’t work as there are many more ways through this problem.

We’ll keep the thread locked rather than deleted because people might have the same request and could use this topic for reference.

I will pass on this request if none of the other administrators/moderators make a comment. Remember though the request might not be granted and only depends on the amount of active people supporting a specific language. If you know other people of your language who play the game then sign them up to the forum.

I suppose filtering the server list by nationality might help with the smallest amount but even so, it won’t guarantee that an English server will just be full of English speaking people. It’s the same for any server. Plus, who needs to speak in game anyway. Make an entrance, load your gun, cause chaos and move on.

Absolutely dis-gusting! How can a group use another clans tag to resemble a country!? MTA clans need copyright rules.. Please – this is sarcasm.

I haven’t seen an international tournament for years. I suppose some of us remember the old EURO 2006 “championships” or the “world cup” one which ran the same year or one before. These tournaments use to gather so much hype alongside some of the most pathetic (and funniest) arguments/debates I have seen on any forum. Hopefully this one works out well, there seems to be enough interest and looks organised.

It’s nice to have finally seen this released (never knew it stretched all the way back to 2007). I had a little look on a few of the servers today and came across someone I hadn’t spoken to for a long while, he mentioned he was informed by someone else on these forums about the release, so it shows that word has spread rather quickly. The tests were fun and it was good to see some of the vets from the past have a game or two. I think I’ve expressed enough gratitude in the past about your contribution TV but you deserve it because you stuck to it from the beginning.
