if this is a linux server then it is a bug that is known with the set/get functions and settings in xml files, you have to edit hay.lua to make it work for now, not got it in front of me so can't advise you on which lines need editting, but if you open hay.lua and search for "get" without the " and comment out that those 2 lines and uncomment the lines above them it should work

if you say what OS you have, some people may be able to advise you

possibly put this in scripting or somewhere like that or change the title of the thread, this isn't an mta suggestion but more of a scripting/game mode suggestion

if i used the nick kevuwk` it could be found with getPlayerFromNick ( "kevuwk" ) so kickPlayer ( getPlayerFromNick ( "kevuwk" ) ) would kick me

you either create a new resource ( new folder or zip file ) with a meta.xml and the lua file or edit the meta.xml file of another resource and add the file into that resource

it is used for resource downloads

this is a known bug, i just uncommented the 2 lines from hay.lua as the first post suggests

i'm not sure if anyone knows what the problem is yet, but the fix will be in a new dp

there seems to be a problem with the linux servers, i have experienced it on the UVA server but am not sure what the problem is

we probably shouldn't let a server start without that on or a link to where resources could be download from or something like, if there isn't anywhere to download resources from (it uses http for that) then it won't work

pretty sure they need to be unzipped for that (each resource in their own folder)

the 'start' command 'start stealth'

it would seem (from a quick google search) that 28 is operation timed out and 6 is unable to resolve host, I haven't seen these so can't really comment and i'm at work so can't really look at anything either

the black screen is the default screen, the game mode that is running (if there is one running) should remove that (basically just a faded camera) if it connects to the server, there isn't a connection issue, possibly just no game mode running

it gets it automatically when you login through the installer

you need to start a game mode

not sure how stealth works but i think you have to load the map with a command rather than on startup

not 100% sure what you are asking, are you trying to stop the inbuilt http server working? then are you trying to make it work with downloads from a different site for the client? once these questions are answered i may be able to help

not sure what those error codes are currently but have you checked that the ports are open for the http server and if you have a firewall that gta/mta can download from there aswell

try and post in the right area, i think some people are saying it is something to do with the compatability mode
