  1. LOL @ where you placed the first checkpoint.
  2. Try the ATi website.
  3. Can other people join it from outside of your local network? Some routers won't allow you to connect to local servers through your Internet IP address, so you'll need somebody else to test. Also, if you have the corrent ports forwarded on your router and firewall, there's no reason it shouldn't be public unless there is something at your ISP's head end blocking it (such as a NAT).
  4. You ripped it from the srcds startscript didn't you? I did the same for mine, except I also have a script which checks every 10 seconds if the server is running, and if not, it starts it up again
  5. I doubt the website would host it if it weren't legal, it's only a few files and there is nothing somebody can do with just these, it just saves people who have the game from having to wait for it to uninstall and reinstall again (time consuming).
  6. You have modded GTASA or editied files which MTA requires to be unaltered. Unleashed2k posted a very helpful link, which is a data backup of all the important files that need to be left untouched, you can download it here: http://www.gta-downloads.com/pafiledb.p ... le&id=2281

    Password Help.

The hash ('#') in front of the line comments it out, meaning the server won't read it, reguardless of whether you edit the value or not. Just delete the '#' from in front of that line, save the config file and restart the server. It will work fine. # ServerPassword # Required: Yes (Yes if server should be passworded) # Purpose: Defines the server password # Format - ServerPassword ServerPassword hackhack
  8. That DNS resolves to 62.251.105.67. Are you sure that's your friends IP? If it is and you still can't connect but others can, it's probably a routing problem between your ISP's. If you can't connect and nobody else can connect, it's a problem at HIS end (firewall/gateway).
  9. You haven't installed the server have you? It's known to overwrite files and fuck them up. Also try deleting the .set file if it's there.
  10. Nice sig Mike.
  11. Foot synchronisation isn't synched, so they (the other players) wouldn't see you out of the vehicle anyway.
  12. Tab does the same thing
  13. Nice progress
  14. There you go then.

    Needed connection to network

What would be the fun in playing MTA against yourself.
  16. I have a server you can use, 32 slots, 100Mbps UK dedicated
  17. Don't cheat. Uninstall all modifications you have on San Andreas, then reinstall it and then MTA.
  18. In console: rcon_login In game chat: /rcon_login And you can find out all the admin commands in console by typing: rcon help
  19. No.
  20. Can't help then, sorry. Are you sure you used the patcher correctly?
  21. I think you need at least 256MB RAM to play GTA:SA.
  22. Sticky this, it will cut down the amount of topic in this section by like half.
  23. When did you buy the game? It's possible you may have purchased the version which was patched by Rockstar, and therefore unmoddable. You'll need to download Talidan's exe modifier to be able to play. http://www.forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15151
  24. If you're trying to play on a server that you host at home, the IP would be the LAN ip of the computer that hosts it (or localhost if it's on your machine) and you specify the password in the config file.
