  1. Yes, if you have v1.01 or v2.00 then you need to run this patch to downgrade your EXE so that you can play MTA.
  2. No there isn't, and modifying MTA at all is illegal.
  3. ROFL Brophy, it is a girl, what do you expect
  4. VCK, KFC, FKU, I'm sure there are more but I only joined in December of 2004 so I wouldn't know.
  5. It isn't supported, and since MTA isn't tested or even coded for Vista I highly doubt it will work. You could try getting VMWare and setting up a virtual Windows XP machine on your desktop for playing MTA on, I don't know how good it would be though and you'd need a pretty powerful PC to run Vista, XP and MTASA simultaneously. Remember that the Vista RC versions aren't designed for gaming, they're designed for beta testing. I would recommend going back to XP if you want to play games on your computer.
  6. Oh my I wish people could read. And by the way, you're not supposed to launch GTASA before you launch MTASA.
  7. That's not Aeron's script too, is it?
  8. You didn't make that script you little bastard.

    HELP!!!

Upon hitting Start Game the client informs you your CLIENT is modifed. This is an error with the way we temporarily replace some of the games files. When you install take a back up of both weapon.dat and weapon.mta from the /gta?/data/ directory and put them somewhere safe. If you get this error close the client, REPLACE both files and retry.
  10. What do you mean it didn't work? It's the only solution.

    Public beta

No, just not a completely stable version.
  12. This isn't a server problem, it's a problem with your computer or network.

    Need to stop crashers

They are probably jealous that you have a better script than them or something... I wouldn't have expected something like this from Tommis though, I thought he was more mature than that.

    MTA.INI

Open mta.ini in Notepad. Where it says [Main] put DontGetLatest=1 underneath so it looks like this: Then save and close it and run MTA again. As far as I know the file is installed in C:\Program Files\Multi Theft Auto

    problem

Do you have the GTASA DVD? If so, just install the game and then run the downgrade patch, it will work fine.
  18. People make the scripts themselves and they don't publically release them. Good luck doing that.

    Please HELP!

I don't know about anyone else, but I personally find it fucking hilarious that some people are so incredibly stupid that they assume they can download a 4MB file free of charge, and that it will contain the full copy of GTA3/GTAVC/GTASA and allow them to play online. Remeber guys, these games are exclusive property of Rockstar Games and not only would downloading them from the Internet without paying for them be illegal, but compressing 600MB-4GB of data in a 4MB file would be pretty much fucking impossible. Please, get some common sense, go to school, buy a dog, whatever. Just don't come back until your IQ is at least 40. And in answer to your quesion, YES YOU DO NEED THE ACTUAL GAMES INSTALLED.
