    A Question

Your opinion is void since you haven't played both yet, you're in no position to judge.
  2. Haha yeah, that's a cheat. Aeroplanes generally can't produce enough reverse thrust to actually fly backwards, and it would be the same in the game.
  3. 'Cold starts' generally take a lot longer than warm or hot starts, so if you're lauching the game for the first time that day then it's going to take longer to load then the next few times you play it, so long as they are within say a 1 hour timeframe. It's the same kind of concept with a diesel car, the first time you start it up in the day you have to wait a few seconds for the diesel to be heated before you actually start the engine, but every subsequent time you start it, so long as the diesel is still warm you can start it straight up.
  4. Well, me and Ransom made it onto Bash.org!! http://bash.org/?689789

    A Question

There are quite a few, but the best one out currently is probably SA-MP. Go here to find out more: http://www.sa-mp.com/

    A greeting

Just "the bastard" actually. Welcome to the community Darminian
  8. Turn your monitor on, that should solve it.
  9. Hopefully this will run on something other than Java though, I remember Oli's gstats page would take AGES to load and created a huge load on the server it was hosted on too
  10. That would also be an MTAmA script then.
  11. I believe the command is /changerage (or rcon changerage in console). Welcome messages, that would be an MTAmA script. Custom commands, that would also be an MTAmA script. Map rating system, also an MTAmA script. Why would you need a countdown? The game automatically does one at the beginning of a race... And last but not least, the IRC echo is also a script, though I don't know if it is an MTAmA script or what. Take a look here: http://mtavc.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=30
  12. Normally the IRC regulars and/or people who contribute a lot to the community.
  13. Yes it does. However, it seems as though the patch has been removed from the only place it was hosted. If anyone has it then send me it and I can mirror it.
  14. I guarantee it's Zonealarm which is still causing the trouble. No matter how much you configure it, it still doesn't let stuff through. Try disabling it all together (don't worry about hackers, a router is the best firewall money can buy) and then seeing if people can connect. If they can, then you've troubleshooted the problem.
  15. Not firewalled at all are you? If the server is running on Windows, make sure the Windows firewall is off.
  16. Actually it's a well known issue, and it is in the Known Issues.
  17. Might be worth a shot at forwarding the same TCP ports too. I'm not sure which protocol MTA operates under, maybe one of the devs could clarify it.
