  1. u don't need the netcode for a connection script, all you need to know is how to make contact with the ASE component from the server. Then you can retrieve all server information. Search for the MTA server query script on the forum.
  2. by the way, according to your previous posts you were a nice guy, it is not becaue you became a beta tester that you have earned the right to throw mud at us
  3. i think most ppl in here know GTAt, we hold nothing back for them. About those animations : he did not get all animations to work, but he is uing something called : walk)to-point which makes an actor move to a certain place (with animation) but you do not see the correct animation, beleive me. 96 players : never been tested. The maximum ever tested is 25 on a LAN party. On the internet i beleive the maximum was 6 or something. 1000 vehicles : he still hasn't put 1000 vehicles in. How do i know all of this? and don't call me a liar, i chat with Draco on a regular basis. We are not enemys and neither we or Draco likes these kinds of posts
  4. it is not yet proven he can do the 1000 vehicles and yes performance will suffer under it. He can do it in 2 ways and probably used a combination. First of all he is prolly gonne use the areas again which we see in single player and second : he prolly enlarged the stack space. Now this is illegal since it requires altering the exe.
  5. i will ask who did it, don't know why it was deleted. The admins don't delete posts by the way, that's the job of the moderators
  6. even if you succeed, the mem structure (that was important for MTA) will always be different and lukeo15 : make up ur mind. One minute ur talking about GTA for PC on Xbox, the nbext ur talking about servers and then ur talking about GTA for Xbox. Make sure u know about which one you are talking dipshit
  7. b0b0 the xbox runs on a 733MHz proc. I have a Celeron 800 here and i can asure you VC does not ru fine on it. It looks like a slideshow. And as far as emulaton goes : MTA does not run on an emulater such as WineX Lukeo there is one thing you do not understand, running a server on an xbox isn't the same as running the game. The server can run on my 486 it doesn't require power, it doesn't require the game, it doesn't require windows or any other graphical environment, all the MTA server requires is a high speed internet connection. More than 95% of xbox owners do not have there box moded, only a small part of xbox owners have it moded and run Linux on it, not windows.
  8. 2 things: *collored names have been known to cause server instability and increase the number of crashes. *they mess up the scoreboard, chat and so on Therefore we urge you not to use colored nicknames and don't come with the argument : why did you put it in? simple we didn't, it is some D3D stuff we didn't know about
  9. We use the game in a different way then R* did, they devided it into sections since there is only one person in one section, we have to load the entire map at once since there can be a lot of people in a lot of sections, therefore we can only put about 80 vehicles in the entire map whereas R* could place 80 vehicles in one section, but don't worry, we are ooking for a solution for the next version
  10. u may always try to fail, but don't try to use our name for ur project
  11. now, as i told u be4 the xbox versions of the game run on a different version of the engine, therefore making it completly incompatible and verry doubtfull it can work the same. And i do not see how u can scan memory on an xbox itself when it is running it's own os
  12. ur missing the freaking point here. MTA will not work on the xbox, u can try but it wont, first off all for VC it wil never be possible since the game can't run on an xbox, and it doesn't matter how hard u try, it can't. An xbox has a processor of 733MHz (look up the specs if u don't beleive me) GTA:VC requires a minimum of 800MHz and MTA makes this even higher. Ur taling CS a 5 year old game that can run on an 133MHz machine, 5 times lower than the proc of the xbox Now GTA3 off course can run on an xbox, but the memory structure of an xbox as we have stated before is different than that of a pc. Therefore GTA3:MTA wil not be able to alter the memory in a correct way and it wil not work. An xbox has all the components of a PC but never forget that it is a console. Maybo someone did that shit for the replay, did some memory hackins as you stated but have you tried that xbox mod on a normal pc???
  13. GTA:VC for PC can not run on an Xbox, it does not meet minimum system requirements. CS even runs on my 5 year old PC
  14. there is code that was left behind, but we do not use it
  15. we did not use any code left behind
  16. And please mind that you may not hack or alter MTA due to © protection, if we find out you do we will send our lawyer
  17. no u don't get it. u r making one vital mistake : u r talking now about running our mta on ur modded xbox which is running win2k. Problem one : Xbox runs at 733MHz, GTA:VC requires 800MHz to run (and that is without MTA which pumps up requirements even more) If you succeed, nice : MTA for the PC is running on GTA:VC for PC on a PC OS. Nothing special about it Now GTA:VC for xbox is not a port from the PC version or a small adaptation. The engine is different, just as the engine for the PS2 is different. Because in your theory you could also do it for the PS2. PS2, PC and Xbox version all 3 run on renderware engine, but the engine for all 3 systems is for those systems specific. If you do not understand these basics in programming then don't even start thinking about making a mod of any kind. Mods for the Xbox or PS2 are hard to find anyway. Try if you can make a normal mod such as new maps or skins or something first, if that works, than you can think about trying something more difficult as memory hacking
  18. servers is something else, that is just a program that doesn't interact with other programs and you say it urself, a modded xbox, most ppl don't have a modded box. MTA is only possible on Win2K and XP and even on these platforms with powerfull pc's and fast internet connections we have a lot of problems
  19. let me tell you this : *an xbox is not a pc, it runs on a stripped down Win2K kernel, the entire OS has a filesize of 256kb *Most ppl don't have a modded xbox *GTA MP mods work trough the hacking of the memory, we can not do this at the moment with Win9x due to the difference in mem structuring, and i doubt the box uses the same structuring as Win2K or XP *U need to get a program running on the box be4 the game starts, good luck with that one
  20. first of all : bbc code doesn't work in titles second : it is impossible. If you see how hard it is on the PC, hen you know it is impossible on the X
  21. in theory hitting enter twice should work
  22. Windows Servger 2003, shit man, you say it urself. It is a stripped down OS build to run servers on, not to use vor playing games on. A lot of ppl use it for that, and sure it runs fine for a while and then the problems start, this doesn't work, that doesn't work. And why? you got a server OS!!! About LongHorn, LongHorn won't be released before 2006. It runs fine for the moment but takes forever to boot up. And DX integration and stuff is fazr from optimized, beleive me i've been testing LH since build 4008
  23. it is more than one guy these days, he coudln't do it alone anymore. And about cars: I prefer japanese or english cars
  24. This problem has nothing to do with MTA. MTA does in no way access your sound settings. Also GTA does not change these settings in any way. It probably is just an error that happens somewhere
