Last piece of the puzzle (27/10/2003 om 18:54 CET) by Blokker_1999 Releasing MTA isn't easy, it seems we forgot to include the server config tool, not essential, but it comes in handy for a lot of people . Go get it here

manually delete all files that remain after an uninstall and also delete mta.ini which is in ur windows folder

Win 9x compatibility is not easy to do. Since Winçx handles memory completly differently then Win 2k/Xp. Due to the fact the software is incompatible we also have used other things that are not compaitble with Win9x making comaptibility even less possible. Win9x is used by a minority of the MTA site visitors and the chance we make it comaptible is small att the moment

The problem excists already in SP, but MP only made it worse since more objects need to be rendered. The only advice i can give is to keep the framelimiter on and to keep your drivers up to date, the latest drivers fixed the problem for me

C++, Java, Perl, PHP, Flash ActionScript, JavaScript.......

asm is a language that is amost never used for real world applications. It takes about 3 pages of code to get "Hello World" on screen. In basic it takes only one line. C and C++ are the best compromise for a coding language. And the basic languages are verry easy but are also limited. but they are good for fast writing a simple app -
We are preparing a new version of 0.2 which has the biggest bugs which create the most crashes removed. However, no all crashes will be gone. The second problem, the lag is somethiung that will take some more time. Off course much also depends on the syncing of the player animations

What is happening to ur posts is verry simple: first u say u r to lazy to hit F5 to see the new SBS and then u come to the conclusion to write ur own one. That pissess me off

MTA:VC in Gentoo Linux's portage tree (23/10/2003 @ 22:33 CET)
Blokker_1999 replied to Blokker_1999's topic in News
we should try to get it in the apt list of debian as well, but i don't know how -
It is for the moment only possible ion the PC as has been stated so many times before. What we do is something unique for the pc already. I do not see how it ever could be possible on a console
-
try pressing F5 or something since the guide has been recenly updated
-
impossible for the moment

MTA does not support Warez and what you suggest will never happen. Ur previous post where you asked to send it by e-mail was deleted (not by me or a reply like this would be on there as well) . I locked this one and nominated you to receive the rank of forum idiot

I'm proud to say Gentoo added the MTA:VC Linux server to their portage tree, which is an essential part of the Gentoo Linux distribution. Gentoo Linux users only have to type emerge mtavc and the MTA:VC will be automatically downloaded and installed. Now people can finally set up MTA:VC servers which are Thanks Gentoo ! If you don't know what Gentoo Linux, Gentoo or Linux is? Go to http://www.gentoo.org to find out more about this Linux distribution.

That ius so untrue. The biggest part of the online gaming community respects each other and does not cheat in any way, then there are people who think they are the best in everythinng but need cheats to acomplish things.

MTA falls not under the category of a mod, but under the category of a hack. And we request that everyone plays with an unmodded GTA:Vice City to ensure stability of this unstable hack. A lot of servers even put it in the MOTD or in there rules. If we see this kind of action on an official server it wil result in a ban

bridge mod is a cheat, not only causes it instabbility, the person with the mod can do things that others can't, therefore it is considerd a cheat. We do not allow mods in the game. Unfortunatly we do not have a way to detect these mods yet. MTA is in no way illegal, we have contacts within Rockstar North and they are supporting us in any way they can. Off course Take 2 Interactive is verry protective of the code.

New website (18/10/2003 @ 21:54 CET) by Webmaster
Blokker_1999 replied to Blokker_1999's topic in News
there was not enough room at the location where the status is, that was the biggest problem. Otherwise we could have just keep changing the old one. The nav has increased since there are things there now that weren't there before. You can never please everyone The downloadsection well be changed, just need to find how to change it, only a matter of time -
We are working on something for the next version

the problem with the old site was navigation. This design was build to improve it from for the newcommers -
As you can see we have a new website . The entire changelog can be found at the known location (bottom-right hand portion of the menu). Unfortunately, there is an issue with the downloads section of the new site as were unable to test this before we moved it into place. We hope to get that section of the website up as soon as possible. Thanks to AJH, we also have a new MTA Logo on the Forums. Update: We were able to track down the problems with the download section and everything should be fixed. Please let us know if you find any further problems.

do not use this on an GTA which will be used for MTA

There is a small downtime scheduelled for the IRC server tonight. There is no timeframe but the downtime will be verry limited, hopefully all that will be required is a restart. We are going to upgrade the IRC server. Also i would like to call on people to upgrade there mIRC to version 6.12 due to an exploit on versions 6.0 trough 6.11. This exploit has been tested in our chan and there are people that still crash

go to start, pres run, in the textfield type in "dxdiag" without the "s and press OK. Now a box comes up in the bottem of the centre area there is a label called current version / It should say something like DirectX 9.0b and then some numbers behind it like in this image:

Known bugs are located in the manual and in the faq. If we did make a new section no one would bother to go there, they wil stil come here and on IRC. When a n00b enters the forums he needs to read trough the rules, yet most of them ignore them or said they have searched the forum which they did not. This is how the world is and there is nothing we can do about it. People expect they can ask anyone anywhere everything! We take everything for granted. This is how the world is, but not how it works!
