bLo0dD Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 i jus thought of this idea a lot of people are worried about racing but one client has rain the other has clear weather, the client with rain will lag a bit and it'll be unfair well if mta moderatorz cant put this simple feature in-game for 0.3b, put it for 0.4, for now, if cheats are disabled, enable the weather cheat, "ILIKESCOTLAND", and have clients type that every 5 - 10 mins... if u can put this in for 0.3b, jus have it automatically clear the weather using that cheat or another method every 5 - 10 mins... maybe its a good idea, or not... but it might work!
anzas Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 its not that hard to disable rainy weather, they can just poke into the memory the value that controls weather to make it always sunny, can be easily added to the client
-Roger- Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Does the weather really matter, I disabled rain in my game anyway...
Warmaster129 Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 The server should decide on the time of day and weather. I think it would be neat to have a really dark stealth type thing.
Mikiro Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 yeah that would be cool. to bad there's a big arrow over yer head so ya cant do much stealth.
-Roger- Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 yep, not to mention it doesn't drop your game to like 10fps
FiShMaStEr Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 that is exactly why u use a frame rate increaser mod for the game. gets rid of rain falling, doesnt stop rain entirely though, that is a problem that would have to be dealt with. might be able to edit something to stop rain all together. lol
xerox Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 doesnt weather also affect car speed and handling? hmm - i dont know how that will work, and if all the clients bar one are in the day time that wouldnt be fair either. hmm - ill leave this one to the devs
RobZGod Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 Id love to have servers with different conditions. Id go on either a daytime sunny one or a stormy night-time one
